Adenomyosis happens when tissue from the lining of the uterus grows into the uterus wall — causing severe pain, heavy periods, and debilitating symptoms. It can occur alongside endometriosis or on its own.

This month, we’re helping spread awareness about ovarian cancer, often called the silent disease. Symptoms can be vague, and there is currently no reliable early screening test.

Important facts to know:
• Ovarian cancer is Australia’s most lethal female cancer
• Symptoms are often subtle and easily overlooked
• A Pap smear does not detect ovarian cancer
• Family history plays an important role in risk

Awareness can save lives. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your body and speak with your GP about further investigation.

We’re often asked why fasting is important before an abdominal ultrasound. Here’s a simple breakdown

Clearer Images
Eating causes the stomach and bowel to fill with food and gas, which can block sound waves and make organs harder to see.

Gallbladder Assessment
Fasting keeps the gallbladder full. After eating, it contracts, which can hide gallstones or other issues.

What does fasting usually mean?
Typically no food, milk, chewing gum or smoking for 6–8 hours before your appointment. These appointments are usually done in the morning to make the fast more easy for the patient. Small sips of water are fine, and you can continue to take regular medication.

Sharing some great feedback we recieved from one of our patients:

I came a couple of weeks ago
For X-ray and ultrasound for my ankle

After I was send by the medical center receptionist next door
And the cost of XRay was quite substantial
I looked for a place which would have some Medicare billed cost reduced

To my delight at Roselea imaging the cost involved was all covered by Medicare .

I was surprised to come in a modern building …..
but most to experience the professionalism and friendliness of the team
