Andy Donaldson is a world-record-holding ultra-marathon swimmer from Perth, Western Australia, whose feats in open water have captured global attention. In 2023, Andy became the first person to complete the Oceans Seven—the world’s seven most challenging channel swims—within a single calendar year. He holds the world record for the 46km Manhattan Island Swim and the British record for the English Channel. In 2024, Andy completed the 220km Epic Swim Maui, circling the island of Maui to raise awareness for ocean conservation. Beyond endurance, Andy’s mission is to inspire hope, resilience, and community impact through sport.

Team Andy’s Swim for Telethon is a purpose-driven endurance initiative led by Andy Donaldson, combining elite athleticism with community fundraising. Each year, the team undertakes a high-profile swim challenge to raise vital funds for youth mental health research. In 2025, Andy is joined by fellow ultra-marathon swimmer Josie Page for a 33km swim from Rottnest Island to Elizabeth Quay, followed by a community run. The event invites swimmers, runners, and supporters across Australia to join the movement—through virtual challenges, corporate partnerships, and grassroots engagement—to make waves for mental health.
