Do you sometimes feel like your life is just not in your hands anymore, it's out of control, and you miss the sense in it? You are not achieving your goals or fulfilling your potential though you hear about the ease of manifestation everywhere. How dissatisfying it is to see all these seemingly successful others compared to yourself, right?
Know this: it happens to everyone- you are not alone.
Also, know that this does not have to be your life. You can change it.
You can achieve your goals and be the best version of yourself.
It takes work and faith in yourself and your path. It's about looking into your old habitual patterns and decide which you can still support and which not:
Stop Submitting your Goals to your Moodiness
We all love to let ourselves get distracted and go with what our senses dictate us. We have all these big plans in our heads, but they just feel sooooo unmountable, and we don't know where to start..... In Yoga Philosophy, the senses are compared to the horses in front of a chariot, and the mind is the driver of the chariot. If we only obey our senses and every sense tends to go its own way, the chariot will not have any direction. The mind as the driver needs to be in charge and guide the way.
Go for your Goals now.
Don't let yourself be distracted by the senses that want to go for a momentary satisfaction (watching a movie, buying stuff on the internet, eating, smoking....).
Have a vision or a dream and go for it.
Breathe it, feel it, smell it, taste it, live it.
Never submit essential happiness that will bring you consistent and lasting joy for superficial, momentary happiness, which will fade quickly and ultimately extend unhappiness.
Stop Making Excuses and take over Responsibility.
If you are looking for a reason/excuse, you will surely find them everywhere.
First of all, open your eyes to the fact that we are the creators of our own lives. Do you actually get the whole consequence of that? Ponder on this for a moment. We created consciously and unconsciously every single event in our lives and let them enter our paths. This means that nothing is actually happening outside of us. No circumstance can affect us or hold us back. We think that life is treating us unfairly, or that others have it easier, or “I will do it tomorrow, I'm just too tired now...”. It is all happening inside of us, from our own perception and storytelling inside. So, change the story inside of you, and your outer world will adapt accordingly. Get out of your own way and take full responsibility.
Stop being a Victim
As nothing is actually happening outside of us and everything is the result of our own storytelling and how we evaluate everything, we can not see ourselves as victims at all: something that we would call "unfair" or "bad," like someone calling us “stupid bitch”, is just the result of our emotion towards the things being said, right? Do you get that? The person who said you are stupid has this perception, but as soon as we agree to his perception inside us, it starts to bother us....just have your own positive perceptions towards everything, and nothing can bother you. You are the narrator of your own story.
Stop Taking Things Personally
Since nothing is happening outside of us, the things we say are always reflections of our inner world, always. It is ok if you would like to chew on this a little bit. When someone makes a comment, it says more about the commenter than it does about you. May it be, what we would call, a compliment or an insult. It always comes from the person's inner world, always, and has nothing to do with you. If we feel good about ourselves, we love to give compliments and share laughter, light, and love. If we feel not at ease about our life, we tend to pull everyone around us down with us. This is in our nature, in our energy. We spread our energy around us. It just happens. But however, be aware that nothing is personal. It only becomes personal when you take the comment to your heart and generate an emotion out of it. Then it has become your personal view.
Practice & Move your Body
If you need to feel better right away, change your clothes and get some movement for your body. Endorphins make you happy; they release stress and help clear your mind. If you need some clearance, work out first, then revisit the issue. Emotions get stabilized, your mind is sharper, and anxiety levels go down. If you panic and feel overwhelmed by whatever you have been confronted with, move your body first before you make a decision. Your decision will be more grounded and intuitive.
Face your Fears
and start allowing yourself to fail big. It's ok to fall. Just stand up again, dust yourself off and straighten that crown of yours.
If we don't face our fears, they become giant monsters like the ones we saw as kids at night in our bedrooms just to wake up in the morning and realize that it was our stacked up toys in the middle of our room. Once we shed light on our fears, they look different. Fears can only operate in the darkness. This is where they love to manipulate us. See it as a game. Play the game and win shade light, love and compassion.
Doing this work is how you gather courage and begin making progress towards becoming your best self.
