Celebrating Inclusion Through Storytelling ✨
To mark the International Day of People with Disability, Early Start Australia was proud to host a special community story time with Australian Paralympic champion and author Ellie Cole, featuring a reading of her beautiful children’s book Felix and His Fantastic Friends.
Held at the welcoming Cambridge Library, the afternoon brought families together for a heartfelt celebration of inclusion, kindness, diversity and belonging. Through Felix’s “Mission Friendship,” children were invited to see the world through a lens of empathy - learning that differences are not barriers, but strengths that enrich our communities.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ellie Cole for the generosity, warmth and authenticity she brought to the room, to Cambridge Library for creating such a safe and inclusive space, and to the families who joined us with open hearts, curious minds and a shared commitment to raising a more compassionate next generation.
At Early Start Australia, we believe stories have the power to shape how children see themselves and others - and this afternoon was a beautiful reminder that belonging begins with understanding.
