Today’s laugh 🤭

So as many of you know treating horses means my hands get pretty filthy 🤲

One of my little rituals between horses is a quick wash then a wipe down with a trusty wet wipe 👌

Well in today’s mad dash between clients and after a pit stop at the servo I grabbed what I thought were wipes 🤔

I opened the packet reached in to pull one out and you can imagine my confusion when I was greeted not by a wet wipe but the distinct scent of a nappy bag🍼😂

Definitely Not wipes 🫠
Yep that’s right scented nappy bags 🫣

We’ve got a few runs coming up and I am in the process of booking new dates also so if you have been thinking about booking in here’s your chance 😆

That’s a wrap on our Collaboration Clinic with Teneale and Emily

I’ve been apart of sharing knowledge in a few clinics now but this one was pretty cool it was certainly fun to be apart of ❤️

Today was filled with dedicated horse owners with open minds ready to ask questions get involved and take on such a big day as we shared so much growth and it was an absolute privilege to share the day with you all I can say the energy was incredible from start to finish 🐎

I think it’s safe to say everyone (including the horses!) will be sleeping well tonight after such a big day😂

Thank you all for showing up leaning in and making this clinic what it was it was awesome to connect with you all and I can’t wait for all the msg updates in the weeks to come 💪

I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did 🐎

Today’s all about Wanneroo and I just had to share this one 😆

Did you know I now offer a chauffeur service?

This morning saw me picking up my lovely client Jess from the car park and chauffeuring her all the way down to the far paddocks so we could treat her beautiful horse Phoenix 🐎

Why you ask? Well Jess recently tore her meniscus… and if you ask how she’ll tell you it happened while cleaning horse poo and forgetting where her feet were 🙈

Always happy to support you in any way you need my friend even if it means adding “chauffeur” to my list of services ❤️

Shining the spotlight on this incredible mare✨

Who’s heading to Equestrian in the Park this year?

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this stunning mare who goes by Be Bold Beautiful as she showcases her wonderful talents at one of the biggest equestrian events of the year 🤩

At 17 years young this gorgeous OTTB still loves to show off her strength scope and enthusiasm and is an absolute credit to her owner she really is the sweetest mare who I really enjoyed sharing space with and can I add she feels and looks incredible for her age what an absolute pleasure she was to treat ❤️

Wishing this talented horse rider and owner all the luck for the big event it’s going to be a very exciting event for all involved 🐎

It’s been a busy week keeping our horse’s feeling their best 🤩

Monday was Bullsbrook and the valley yesterday was a wonderful day treating horses throughout Gidgegannup and today I’m out in Wanneroo and Gnangara helping more horse’s move and feel their best 👌

Thursday I’ll be taking some time to make sure my own body stays feeling its best with my therapist because just like our horse’s we need to keep ourselves in balance to 💆‍♀️

Then Friday I’ll be heading to Chittering for another day of treatments 🐎

Understanding the power behind your horse’s brain 🧠

This is the key to helping their overall development in so many aspects 🐎

Our horses may not think like us but their brains are incredibly clever in their own way and every part plays a role in how they move react and connect with us and their own bodies 🐎

Their forebrain handles memory decision making and how they process what they see hear and feel while the midbrain acts as a messenger helping signals travel through the body and then there is the hindbrain and cerebellum this regulates essential functions like balance coordination breathing and heart rate 🤩

Pretty fascinating right? 👌

We all understand our horse’s brain is wired for survival first their quick reactions whether physical or emotional and their deep memory are what keep them safe and here is why this matters when we think about our training from the ground up when trying to create change for the better 💪

When we understand how the equine brain works we can support our horses not just physically but mentally and emotionally to because balance isn’t just physical and physical balance can’t happen without mental and emotional balance especially when we are working on trying to create new patterns for our horse’s 🐎

Building strength and proprioception isn’t only about building strength it’s about helping the horse build confidence regulation and awareness throughout the whole body from hoof to whole body and mind ❤️

When we understand that some of our patterns in our horse’s behaviour revert to what they feel within their body we begin to understand the patterns in their reactions both the mind and body play a part in change this is a great example of how we can support our horse’s and create a more confident connected horse one that can move freely with purpose 💪

What does this have to do with bodywork you ask? everything because bodywork is only one piece of the puzzle true release and progress come from working with the whole horse brain body and balance combined and change is about the whole horse we can’t break physical patterns without supporting the way our horse regulates as a whole from hoof body to brain something I’m passionate about and I just had to share my thoughts on this ❤️

Here’s to building strong balanced horses all round 💪🐎
