Flying on the weekend be like 🪽🪽🪽

Check out Isabella and her pony Jax flying into Sunday morning with total ease. This beautiful partnership has come such a long way over the past 12 months as this young rider has found a wonderful balance with her equine partner 🤗

Training your own pony or horse isn’t always smooth sailing and watching a combination grow together through the ups and downs is always something special. This team is really starting to come into their own, and with such a great support system behind them it’s been an absolute pleasure to watch their journey unfold 🦄

What has everyone been up to this weekend? Drop your pictures below 👇🐎✨

All the prettiest pony’s in Bullsbrook today 🦄

What a great day and all done before the heat kicked in at lunch time to then head over to tailwinds for a beautiful lunch with my dear friend ruby out of the heat to have a great catch up 🐎

Great way to spend a Thursday now it’s over to lower chittering tomorrow 🤗

The belly lift is such a simple yet powerful tool here is a small video of myself and my mare river where we see her level of engagement I hope you all enjoy us spending some time working on rivers range of motion this morning 🤗

This exercise encourages the horse to gently lift and flex through their body helping to open up the back and create better posture. It’s not about forcing a big visual lift with strong pressure but Instead we’re looking for soft thoughtful movement that subtle change through the head and neck as those deep postural muscles begin to switch on 🐎

The belly lift allows us to observe our horse’s range of motion and where they may be restricted as they lift at the top of the withers and we see it begin to open the connection from the head and neck through the thoracic sling all the way back to the pelvis through the ribcage tells us so much about our horse and this technique is about encouraging balance and functional movement throughout the entire body 🐎

Can your horse lift with that light pressure? What happens when you ask? How does your horse respond? Do they struggle to lift or move away from the pressure? What is the response over all? Can they engage if not we must get curious as to why 🤔

I love using the belly lift not only to activate the core before work but also as a beautiful lengthening stretch after work If your horse struggles to lift it’s never about adding more pressure it’s about getting curious Why might this feel difficult for them? Where might they need support or release

When we approach it with patience and understanding we can truly help our horses build strength mobility and confidence in their bodies🦄

What a day Southside 🤍

I don’t travel out long distances anymore I keep my books full with around about an hour max travel apart from this run out south which happens around once every 6 weeks roughly 🐎

This big day is certainly well worth it for the most incredible horses and people I always walk away feeling so grateful to be apart of their journeys just because they are all such wonderful people who really are so dedicated to their horses even though it’s a long day with lots of travel and doing my best to fit in all the horses it really is well worth it 🤍

A much needed day off tomorrow then it’s Bullsbrook Thursday and lower chittering Friday can’t wait to see everyone 🐎

It’s all about the horses of Lower Chittering today 🍪

This beautiful girl Biscuit finished off her season so beautifully it all shifted once she felt relaxed enough to let me in 🦄

Sometimes bodywork isn’t about ticking boxes or running through a routine to get a set outcome. It’s about the individual horse standing in front of you on that day. Their body. Their mind. Their story. And being willing to follow their lead 🙏

Some horses show signs of discomfort or react to touch not because they’re difficult but because they genuinely are uncomfortable when that happens pushing through for a desired result isn’t the answer it’s about listening adjusting and slowing down to the horses pace in our sessions as we choose to read them instead of override them 🙌

Today biscuit reminded us again that when you meet a horse where they’re at the outcome is always more powerful than anything you could force 🤍

The tail pull stretch is such a simple exercise yet it has a powerful and far reaching effect on your horse’s body 🐎

The tail is an extension of the spine and is made up of 15–21 coccygeal (caudal) vertebrae and these small bones continue directly on from the sacrum which means when we gently and correctly perform a tail pull stretch we are influencing the entire spinal chain. The stretch creates a soft effect through the sacrum and up into the lumbar spine helping to decompress and create space between the dorsal spinous processes. This can be especially beneficial for horses that carry tension through their lower back or show signs of stiffness in the lumbosacral region 🐎

The tail is also closely connected to deep stabilising muscles such as the multifidus muscle which runs along either side of the spine and plays a crucial role in spinal stability and posture so we apply a steady mindful tail pull we stimulate these deep postural muscles encouraging activation relaxation and improved neuromuscular awareness 🙌

Beyond the multifidus the stretch influences surrounding muscular structures including the gluteals hamstrings sacrocaudalis muscles longissimus dorsi and even the thoracolumbar fascia the key is slow steady and informed pressure never forceful. The goal is not to force the horse to lift the tail so if your horse pushes back against you chances are the muscles in the tail and surrounding structures are tight so it’s important not to force the tail up and to listen and let your horse relax into it 🐎

We want to pull the tail to create gentle traction and allow the horse to soften into the stretch. When done correctly this simple technique can support spinal health improve movement quality and enhance your horse’s overall wellbeing 🤗

A horse’s eye can say so much without saying anything at all 🦄

There’s honesty and trust with curiosity sometimes uncertainty and when you really look closely gratitude 🙏

They don’t speak our language yet they communicate everything we need to know if we’re willing to slow down and listen👂

To often you hear me say in our appointments the body tells a story it doesn’t lie and neither do their eyes 💛

Just love this beautiful big girl Betty 😍

Attention Clients 🐎

I’d like to take a moment to refresh everyone on my booking policy 🐎

When you first book an appointment with me I share that payment is due upon completion of your appointment or by the end of that same day at the very latest 🐎

It genuinely saddens me that I sometimes have to chase up payments for work I’ve already completed. This business is not only how I support myself but also allows me to continue to support the wa equine community 🐎

While I completely understand that life gets busy we all juggle a lot. But just as you wouldn’t leave Coles without paying for your shopping or have your farrier or trainer complete a service without payment the same courtesy needs to apply here 🐎

I have worked incredibly hard to keep my prices on the lower end of the scale here in WA while still delivering the highest standard of care I possibly can. My goal has always been to remain affordable and accessible while continuing to provide quality treatment to your horses 🐎

The last thing I should be doing many days or even weeks later is to be repeatedly following up unpaid services 🐎

Moving forward a late fee will now be introduced for any services that remain unpaid past the agreed timeframe within reason 🐎

To the many clients who always pay promptly thank you Your respect reliability and support truly never go unnoticed and I appreciate you more than you know 🤍

Jimmy an absolute character and a legend wants to know have you secured your booking yet? 😏

We are about to roll into the busy season with clubs kicking off soon and competitions starting back up and our horses stepping up their workload. As their work increases so does the importance of keeping our horses performing at their best so don’t be shy reach out and secure your horse an appointment 💪

Just ask this most handsome face he’ll tell you how much they appreciate it 🤗

Message me to lock in your next session 🙌 #
