Do you ever hear those sayings about 'finding a job that you love' and 'doing what you love everyday' and feel disappointed because that isn't your current reality?

An invisible searchlight is constantly scanning as we move through our careers - scanning for that 'dream' job that we will love.

And then we will be happy.

But lets shatter this for on second. We need money to pay our bills. And lots of people, derive great JOY and LOVE from being able to financially be free, and support their wildest dreams.

So much so, that HOW they gain that JOY and LOVE is irrelevant.

You don't need to love what you do for work.

But you deserve to love what you spend your income on, and the life your work pays for.

We have an obsession with working HARD for things.
.With earning things through grit and pain. It 'makes the journey worth it', it makes you, worth your successes - the harder you worked for them.

But because of this - we've glorified only one way of operating in the workforce. The intense way.

At a deeper level, do we have some existing beliefs; that in order to be happy and successful - we need to have gone through a period of pain and struggle?

And, what does it mean if you've not struggled but you have come across success?

Are you any less worthy?

Don't be afraid to ask some Cracker questions in an Interview.

There's always that pause at the end where the employer asks you - so why not give them something meaty to answer!

The more Info you can find out, the better you know if THEY are the right fit, for you.

Over explained and made overly complex - Culture is a buzz word now.

And don't let cool job descriptions fool you. It's easy to list 'Great Culture' in print, and so much harder to actually have it.

Because Culture is dependent and influenced by People. Therefore it's dependent on the people running the business having People Skills.

It's a living organism, and the Pulse of the business.

Culture is how a job makes you feel when you're sitting at home Sunday 8pm.

Do you feel like throwing up? Or do you feel honored to be a part of that group of people?

One of the best ways to assess Culture, is to look at all the other things a Business prioritizes for its people - that ISN'T Work.

Team Days, Mental Health Initiative's, Training, Work Life Balance, Holidays, Creativity, Authenticity etc
