☀️ Heatstroke is more than just feeling “too hot.”
It’s a serious medical emergency that can happen quickly — especially during Perth’s summer heat.

Knowing the signs and acting early can save lives.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for those around you 💛

This post provides general health information only and is not a substitute for medical advice. If you or someone else shows signs of heatstroke, seek urgent medical help or call 000.

☀️ Protecting yourself from sun and heat

Perth sun can be intense, even on cooler or cloudy days.
Simple habits like seeking shade, staying hydrated and protecting your skin can help reduce the impact of heat and sun exposure.

Regular skin checks with your local GP are an important part of looking after your skin health.

Take care this summer 🤍

❤️ World AIDS Day — 1 December

The day has passed, but the message matters every day.

World AIDS Day reminds us to support people living with HIV, raise awareness, and help break the stigma.

Important to remember:
• People with HIV can live long, healthy lives
• U = U (Undetectable = Untransmittable)
• HIV doesn’t spread through casual contact
• Kindness and understanding make a real difference

Let’s keep the awareness going — not just on 1 December, but always. ❤️

Not Every Disability Is Visible

Some people carry challenges you’ll never see — chronic pain, mental health conditions, neurological differences, fatigue, sensory disabilities, and more.

Just because someone looks fine on the outside doesn’t mean they aren’t doing their best on the inside.

💛 This day is a reminder to be:
• Kind — you never know what someone is managing
• Patient — invisible struggles are still real
• Understanding — not everyone’s journey is visible
• Supportive — small acts of empathy go a long way

🌿 Let’s create a world where people feel safe, accepted, and understood — no explanations needed.

Every disability deserves awareness.
Every person deserves respect.
