Gut health is so important. It’s connected to so much, your skin, energy levels, mood, hormones, brain focus, and so much more.

But when it comes around to the festive season it can just feel like another thing you have to juggle. You’ve got family dinners, Christmas lunch, Boxing Day BBQ’s, social catch-ups, late nights, and endless grazing boards… and somewhere in between, we can fall off the wagon and our gut health slips.

Does that sound familiar?

The good news is it doesn’t have to feel so difficult. Small, simple, intentional choices go a long way. ✨

Here’s your 6-step guide to a happy gut this festive season:

1. Avoid processed foods and go for home-cooked whole foods instead.

2. Manage your stress with tiny daily pockets of self-care.

3. Be mindful of starchy, processed carbs like white bread and pastries.

4. Add brightly coloured fibre - fruits, salads, smoothies. Your gut loves colour!

5. Include quality animal protein and healthy fats.

6. Take a daily gut support like Complete Belly Reset by .

It’s not always about perfection but about consistency and progress. Your next chapter is going to be amazing! ❤️

Being ‘intentional’ in your 40’s is about giving everything back to your body and soul. It’s about protecting your energy and saying “no” to anything that isn’t aligned.✨

Here are 4 things that I’m really intentional about:

1. Diet - choosing foods that support my energy, hormones and overall wellbeing. I specifically focus on animal protein and high fibre veggies as staples in my everyday diet.

2. Movement - moving in ways that feel good for my body. I’m currently loving lymphatic bouncing movement, alongside my non-negotiable daily walking and strength training three times a week.

3. Mindset 💫 choosing perspectives that serve me. My favourite saying is “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” ~ Wayne Dyer

4. Supplements - supporting my body with the nutrients it needs. I am especially loving the range by for gut health and hormones.

Reflecting on 2025 ✨

This year has been big, but in the best way possible.

By far it’s been one of the biggest ever in terms of my own inner work.

Between keynote speaking, coaching, raising two teenage boys, growing love, focusing on my fitness and health, last-minute trips and adventures, and going extremely deep into my own shadow work and fears -

I’ve felt myself stretch and grow in ways I didn’t expect. 💫

There were days I nailed the balance, and days where I absolutely didn’t.

Days where my work lit me up, and days where being there for the people I love was the only thing that mattered,
and everything else took a back seat.

I’m proud of that.

2025 taught me my true north.

Somewhere in the middle of it all, life started shifting, quietly, beautifully.
I’ve been waiting patiently for this shift. 🫶✨

The wrestling decisions, the internal work, my tiny habits and daily rituals, the pivot in my business, every little moment of simplicity and love,

have all been aligned with my lifelong dream of a big, happy, joyful, life.

Was it pretty? No.

Oh my god no.

It was messy, wildly amazing and at times utterly bone crushingly exhausting.

And now, with a new home on the horizon, it feels like the perfect reflection of everything that’s changed this year. Heading out of a 9 year (closing cycle) and into a 1.

Growth and expansion asking for more space.

Through all the juggling, the joy, the mess, the breakthroughs, one thing stayed constant this year:

I kept choosing what matters.

My kids. My people. My purpose. Myself. ❤️❤️

For every one of you still here, I want you to know that I’m grateful.

Keep loving, keep replenishing - and don’t ever get pulled into what you “should” be doing - just follow your heart instead.

Jess xx

2025 has been such a crazy year and even though I’ve been so pushed in every direction I’m feeling healthier than I’ve ever felt before! 🌸

I’m 44, raising teen boys, running my own business, and yes, in perimenopause too. During this stage of life there are things I do to support by body, from my diet to movement, mindset and being really intentional about the supplements I take. It’s so important to support our body’s transitions with positivity, resilience and confidence, which can be difficult at times.

A few things I do to support my body ✨
1. I have 2 main meals and 1 large snack each day, which are always protein forward and with high fibre from veggies.

2. My daily movement ritual starts at 5am. It’s always a combination of walking, functional training and strength as well as a beautiful coffee in the sun.

3. I work on my mindset, spiritual work and the power of positive thinking everyday.

4. I’m intentional about the supplements I’m putting into my body to support me. Which is why I’m so excited to be partnering with as a brand I truly feel gets women.

I’ve always said that every chapter of life is going to be amazing and this stage of life for me, and so many women out there, is no different. ❤️

Life lately ✨

The end of 2025 has been such an intense time. So many months of hard work coming to fruition has both stretched me and simultaneously uplifted me.

There’s something really rewarding about looking back on all the lives you’ve impacted even when you’ve been at your most challenged simply because you never gave up.

A reminder 💫 from my heart to yours to keep showing up -

imperfectly,
consistently and wholeheartedly ❤️

It always pays off in the long run.

There seems to come a time in every woman’s life after 35 when our hormones feel like they’ve gone rogue.
Mood all over the place.
Inflammation that won’t budge.
Energy that’s unpredictable.
And you start thinking, “Something’s definitely going on with my hormones.”

Do you agree?

But tonne of the things we aren’t educated to believe is that hormones aren’t the problem - they’re the feedback system.

Your hormonal imbalance is simply a message from deeper inside the body - and the message is usually this: something upstream needs attention.

If this feels familiar, I’ve gone into more detail in my recent Substack article. It may give you some insight into what your body is really trying to tell you. Link is in my bio❤️

We love to “think” the human body is capable of anything. And it is.

But I can tell you first hand that it also breaks.

It stretches and stretches and goes and goes and it can sustain things that we never thought even possible, but when it’s pushed to its limits without the right support, even for the most superhuman of us - there comes a breaking point.

I see it every day:

High performers, busy people, running on adrenaline. Living on caffeine. Stuck in survival mode. And ignoring the whispers until the body has to scream.

I’ve been, and sometimes still am, guilty of this too ✋🏻.

There’s an unrelenting fatigue that ripples under the surface when you can feel that end of runway approaching - do you know the type of fatigue I’m talking about?

We push through the injuries, the sleep crises, the digestive issues and the internal chaos just to hang on that little bit more.

I’ll say it:

I don’t think we’ve ever learned how to recover properly.

And for damn sure we haven’t been given permission to do so. 😔

Doing more and building a body that never breaks is about knowing when to stop. When to refuel. When to recover. And when to re-regulate.

Your body is the vessel that carries you through this wild and crazy life.

Treat it like it’s sacred. ❤️

Because it is.

And normalise giving yourself permission to recover, too.

I’d love to know - does rest feel like a) weakness; or b) impossible for you?
