Introducing Pubudni,

Recently, Pubuduni completed her induction at Amana Living Training Institute (ALTI) before starting her new role as a carer with Amana Living at Peter Arney House in Salter Point.

Originally a registered nurse in her home country, Pubuduni moved to Australia, worked in childcare, and later focused on raising her young family while her husband worked fly-in-fly-out. Once her youngest was old enough, she was ready to re-enter the workforce — and ALTI’s rolling intake made it possible for her to start studying straight away.

Employers were impressed with her choice to study at ALTI, recognising Amana Living’s strong reputation in aged care and the expertise of our trainers. As Pubuduni shared: “We did the course to get jobs — Amana Living has a good reputation with employers.”

Pubuduni is excited to continue her studies with ALTI in the future and extends her thanks to our supportive student services team for guiding her along the way.

Student Success Spotlight

Meet Bayan, one of ALTI’s inspiring success stories!

After discovering ALTI through a Google search, Bayan felt reassured by the Amana Living logo and knew she’d be studying with a trusted institution. A pre‑course meeting with Lisa from our student services team gave her the confidence to begin her journey.

During her studies, Bayan says she felt supported every step of the way:

“The trainers share their industry experience and that makes study easier. I want to say thank you for this opportunity, I am very happy.”

Bayan has now completed her induction week and is starting her new role as a Community Support Worker for Amana Living in the South West Region. Once settled, she plans to return to ALTI to study Nationally Recognised Training HLT43021 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.

Amana Living Training Institute (ALTI) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No:0609) and a division of leading WA aged care organisation Amana Living Inc. We have delivered quality accredited and non-accredited training to thousands of Western Australians over the past two decades, with an extraordinary 95% completion rate. ALTI has been providing training since 1998, and Amana Living has served the community since 1962, so you can be assured of our expertise in care training and delivery. In addition, our ability to assist students with work placements and possible employment opportunities in our own centres sets us apart from other training providers in WA. Amana Living services include residential care centres, housing, home care services, respite care, transition care and dementia services, spread across 21 sites in Perth metro, Australind, Kalgoorlie and Albany. ALTI customises its training to meet the changing needs of the care industry. By working closely with aged care providers, training organisations and industry partners, we understand that, above all, employers want staff who are practically trained. Over the years, aged care training has been tarnished by providers offering quick and so-called ‘self-paced’ training without any practical component before sending students to a work placement. Self-paced and online learning have a place for certain types of training, but we know from experience that this approach doesn’t prepare you adequately for working in a care environment. We have developed a face-to-face workshop and workplace-based training model, which gives you the practical knowledge and skills you need to perform your role competently. ALTI Training is approved to provide Ageing, Disability, Home and Community and Leisure and Health training programs. Our quality, client-focused programs are available to business clients, public students and individual employees, and is fully compliant with RTO regulations.
