Did you know?
As early as 1950, Mother Teresa opened a homeopathic dispensary to save the poor in Calcutta, now known as "Kolkata". Over time, her "Missionaries of Charity" expanded the number of homeopathic dispensaries to four.
Mother Teresa cared so much about helping the poor that she studied Homeopathy herself with Dr. Jai Chand, an excellent Indian Homeopathic Physician.
Despite this training, she didn't consider herself a homeopathic practitioner and left the treatment of those with chronic illnesses to homeopathic doctors. She educated herself enough to prescribe for acute illnesses.

Dr Edward De Beukelaer highlights that homeopathy is far more widely used and accepted than often assumed, with surveys showing that between 20% and 70% of people express interest in it and many would prefer it to be included in their healthcare plan.
He notes that clinicians are therefore likely to encounter more patients than expected who wish to use homeopathy, and argues that both evidence-based medicine and patient charters emphasise the central role of patient choice and preferences in shaping appropriate, person-centred healthcare decisions.

As well as providing the Owen homoeopathics range, the Centre stocks a large range of Simplexes, Complexes and Remedy Kits, Reference Books, Biochemical Tissue Salts, Flower Essences and gifts (many of which you can order online). We offer limited attendance classes and provide quality over the counter advice at all times, as well as consultations by appointment.
