Spending time in nature isnโt just beautiful โ itโs healing ๐
Research shows that even a short walk outdoors can reduce stress, lower anxiety, and boost mood and focus. Our nervous systems respond to the sights, sounds and stillness of the natural world โ it helps us reset, breathe deeper, and come back to ourselves.
At the clinic, we see every day how closely the body and mind are connected. When the nervous system is calm, the body can heal more effectively. And when weโre holding stress or tension, it often shows up physically โ in our muscles, posture, and overall wellbeing.
It was World Mental Health Week Day last Friday so letโs enter this week with this as a reminder to make space for what nourishes you.
Step outside. Feel the sun on your skin. Notice the wind, the trees, the ground beneath your feet. Be playful (do a handstand! ๐) Taking care of your mental health doesnโt always have to be complicated โ sometimes, itโs as simple as slowing down and connecting with the world around you ๐โ๏ธโจ
