Let get honest. How many coffees do you really have each day ladies?
1? 2? 3? More? 🤭

And are you drinking them because you have been up unable to sleep at 3am so you need it to get going in the morning? Or trying to avoid that 230 slump when you are feeling shattered but need to muster energy for the after school activities?

Or do you drink it when you genuinely feel like it, not at a set time each day because you “need” it?

Being a coffee drinker who has been on both sides of this, and a chiropractor who works with 100s of women … I know it’s more likely (in my experience) that you fall into the “get out of bed and need coffee and skull it” vs “I am absolutely fine without it and drink it when I feel like it and I enjoy it”

You know your body and brain doesn’t love this.
You have read all the posts lately about cortisol and stress and know coffee doesn’t help.

My fave lately is high protein yoghurt and hydrating my water from my soda stream. I find the bubbles help it feel a little fancier than “just water”

This morning’s tally? A 5am run (because when else?), admin squared away, lunchboxes done, the endless “where is the...” crisis (today’s victim: the netball shirt), bags packed for the straight-after-school sports dash, and somehow, we’re ready for the fourth sports carnival in three weeks to start the term off with a bang 🙈

If your to do list looks never ending, join the club. We are parenting at an Olympic level of chaos right now.

But look. Before the next set of doors flies open, the car becomes silent for a minute. This is it. 🚗☕️

This little car park moment, with your coffee going cold, is your survival pause. It’s not selfish; it’s the bare minimum you deserve.
