Front Runner Trained Profile: Amy Bradden
After starting in triathlon, Amy has changed her focus after the birth of her children to running events from 5k to Ultra with support from women’s coaching specialist Abby.
➡️When did you get started on your running journey? I’ve been running since my early 20’s, more so as part of triathlons. I really started running more after my second child was born in my later 20’s.
➡️Summarise what running means to you in one sentence…… Peace and thinking time.
➡️Describe your current weekly training programme? Strength x2, yoga daily and 5 runs a week, whatever Abby prescribes.
➡️What are your current PB’s? 5km 21:40, 10km 48:26, Half marathon 1:46 Haven’t attempted any since getting coached
➡️What is your proudest running achievement to date? Tackling ultra distances has been an incredible experience, MRU80 2024 and Larapinta Long course 2025.
➡️How long have you been with Front Runner & who is your Front Runner coach? I’ve been with Front runner for just over a year, and Abby is my coach.
➡️What have you valued most about being a athlete? Having someone to talk to about running. Also, taking the mental away from deciding what to do and when.
➡️Favourite training buddies?
Generally run solo but love my Rogue Amigo runnings mates
➡️What are your short (next 12 months) and long-term goals in running?
- Short term goal is to get to Surf Coast 100km in one piece and get my triple crown Jacket.
- Long term goal is to keep testing my limits and maybe get to a 100 miler.
➡️If you could give one piece of advice about running what would it be?
One piece of advice is to keep up the strength work and be kind to yourself
