Front Runner Trained Profile: Amy Bradden

After starting in triathlon, Amy has changed her focus after the birth of her children to running events from 5k to Ultra with support from women’s coaching specialist Abby.

➡️When did you get started on your running journey? I’ve been running since my early 20’s, more so as part of triathlons. I really started running more after my second child was born in my later 20’s.

➡️Summarise what running means to you in one sentence…… Peace and thinking time.

➡️Describe your current weekly training programme? Strength x2, yoga daily and 5 runs a week, whatever Abby prescribes.

➡️What are your current PB’s? 5km 21:40, 10km 48:26, Half marathon 1:46 Haven’t attempted any since getting coached

➡️What is your proudest running achievement to date? Tackling ultra distances has been an incredible experience, MRU80 2024 and Larapinta Long course 2025.

➡️How long have you been with Front Runner & who is your Front Runner coach? I’ve been with Front runner for just over a year, and Abby is my coach.

➡️What have you valued most about being a athlete? Having someone to talk to about running. Also, taking the mental away from deciding what to do and when.

➡️Favourite training buddies?
Generally run solo but love my Rogue Amigo runnings mates

➡️What are your short (next 12 months) and long-term goals in running?
- Short term goal is to get to Surf Coast 100km in one piece and get my triple crown Jacket.
- Long term goal is to keep testing my limits and maybe get to a 100 miler.

➡️If you could give one piece of advice about running what would it be?
One piece of advice is to keep up the strength work and be kind to yourself

Front Runner Trained Profile: Julian Crowley

Julian has made his way to Seattle as a C-Suite tech exec & has been with us for many years as an online client. Last year he finally ticked the box of sub 3hrs Marathon with a great negative split at the California International Marathon.

➡️When did you get started on your running journey?
During COVID. I was looking to stay fit during the pandemic in Singapore and this got me outdoors.

➡️Summarise what running means to you in one sentence……
Running is balance, growth, pain, fun all rolled into one sweaty package.

➡️Describe your current weekly training programme?
A. Lots of easy miles, 2x workouts that hurt, 1 long run that also hurts. It’s amazing how it becomes routine.

➡️What are your current PB’s?
Nothing to write home about but I’m proud of them: sub-3 marathon, sub-19 5km, and sub-40 10km.

➡️What is your proudest running achievement to date?
Sub-3 marathon took years. But honestly? The achievement wasn’t the time—it was not quitting despite injuries and life.

➡️How long have you been with Front Runner & who is your Front Runner coach?
Since COVID and coached by Raf!

➡️What have you valued most about being a athlete?
It’s the difference between just running and actually training. With FR, you also understand the “why” which helps when you’re hurting from the “what/how”. You don’t feel like your hurting for no reason or just running junk miles.

➡️Favourite training buddies?
Jake the Snake

➡️What are your short (next 12 months) and long-term goals in running?
Short term: Get faster—sub-18 5km and sub-39 10km. Long term: Put together that perfect race where everything clicks and I run as fast as I’m actually capable of. No idea what that time is yet, but I’ll know it when I do it.

➡️If you could give one piece of advice about running what would it be?
I’m just an ordinary runner with no major accomplishments, but if I may be so bold: enjoy the process. PRs feel great for about 24 hours, then you realize the high was actually in the training.

A random collection of trail rats, you know who you are! And my social ladies group in Albany

➡️What are your short (next 12 months) and long-term goals in running

Long term:
West Mac’s Monster in the NT

➡️What have you valued most about being a athlete?
The community during training and especially on the track and time and mentorship I’ve received whilst training with older and more experienced elite athletes at the level I want to get to, as well as the coaches!
