+ I have always noticed as my breath deepens with yoga practice I begin to feel lighter, more supple and more mobile.
+ Looking after my body, with consistent yoga and breath awareness has helped to support a calmer and more settled mind. 🧡

Simple Pleasures in Spring. 🌼
+Some tips for Wood Element (Spring) Food Therapy.
+ Cooking styles in Spring consider the health of the liver/gallbladder organs,like:
1. Quick sauté or water sauté.
2. Broths, clear soups and vegetable/herbal soups.
3. Boiling.
4. Blanching.
5. Steaming.
+ Overall just lighting cooking is best!
+ All of these cooking styles and food preparations are very uplifting and energising to your body and your mind.
+ Best NOT to overcook or have too much oil, oily foods and even too much nut butters which all will burden the liver and gallbladder organs.
+ ALLOW the nature of Spring energy through your body and mind with supportive nutrition choices.

Some simple tips for Spring!
1. Daikon drink - good to help squeaky joints, and release mucous.
+ Grate 2 tablespoons of daikon, add 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, 1/2 an Umeboshi plum and simmer for about 5 minutes. Add tamari to taste. Drink!!

2. Umeboshi plums - will help for weak digestion and mouth ulcers.
+ Pop one in your mouth as soon as you wake up in the morning! Chew…
3. Shiitake mushroom drink - deep nervous system release. Move old fats stuck in the joints! Relieve lower back tension.
+ Simmer 2 mushrooms in 2 cups water for about 5 to 8 minutes. Add few drops tamari to taste.
+ Drink one cup each evening before bed for 3 days.
