✨ Building Skills, Confidence & Independence ✨

This year our focus has been on capacity building - supporting our clients to develop practical life skills, confidence and independence in meaningful ways.

We’ve been doing this through a range of hands-on activities including cooking classes, gardening programs and helping clients create their own garden patches at home. Watching our clients grow their own herbs and vegetables, prepare meals and learn new skills has been incredibly rewarding. 🌱🍅

Capacity building is about more than just learning new tasks - it’s about building confidence, encouraging independence and creating opportunities for people to take pride in what they can achieve.

Along the way our clients have also been developing skills through:
🌿 Gardening and outdoor projects
👩‍🍳 Cooking and meal preparation
🛒 Grocery shopping and budgeting
🤝 Social and communication skills
🧹 Household tasks and daily living skills
🎨 Creative and recreational activities
🌍 Community participation and cultural experiences

What an incredible day we had celebrating culture, food and community at our Taste of Africa event!

Our clients enjoyed a vibrant afternoon filled with delicious African cuisine, music and cultural experiences. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore the rich flavours and traditions of Africa together.

We are passionate about creating experiences that expose our clients to diverse cultures and backgrounds while bringing everyone together.
