🎗️March is Endometriosis Awareness month 🎗️
It’s also International Women’s Day on Monday so it felt like the perfect time to share.
And this is a deeply personal share for me.
Last year I was diagnosed with Endometriosis & Adenomyosis. I have spent the better part of 12 years seeking answers and help, all the while getting sicker and sicker.
This years theme for IWD is ‘Give to Gain’. Giving can look like donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training or time. The aim is to encourage the mentality and mindset of generosity and collaboration.
This really resonated with me. A huge part of being able to advocate for myself was because my clients shared their struggles with me. I listened with intent, I researched and educated myself. It was because these brave clients shared their experiences that I was able to connect the dots and in doing so, set in motion my own eventual diagnosis.
The overwhelming feeling of relief & vindication was so powerful and I am incredibly thankful for each and every one of these beautiful women who were strong enough to share their stories with me.
So now I am here to share with you all. Because if I can help just one person, it’s one less going through the struggle that so many of us have, and are still going through.
Over the month of March I will be talking all things endo and how powerful that driver is in relation to skin conditions.
If you have, suspect or you just want to be better educated to support other women around you, stay tuned. This content is for you.
