I hid behind elastic pants and oversized dresses. I’d dodge cameras, or force people to take photos from the chest up just to hide the truth.

But the truth was—I wasn’t just hiding from the camera… I was hiding from myself.

The plus side is more energy, no sore joints, no more out of breath walking up stairs, more self confidence blah blah blah.

Nothing like a death to make you re-evaluate what you are doing with your life.

When I got news tonight that someone close to me had a heart attack and a stroke and you think they are in hospital and they will be fine as they are in good care and then they die you wonder what the hell!

I think it makes you get a grip of yourself and you want to live and embrace life all that more - as you have only got this moment to enjoy, to live life to the max as tomorrow is not guaranteed. Love to you all.

KEEPING MENTAL HEALTH FIT

With physical health, you really sometimes do not realize but mental health also comes into play.

Everyone has 'blah' days when for no particular reason our "get up and go, got up and went" and we don't feel like our normal selves.

Mental health though can creep up on us when not the odd day you are feeling off but every day is like the blah day.

With what is going on in the world today can really get us down as we absorb negative energy on what is going on around us and can feel like a sense of everything being hopeless.

TOP TIPS:

** Don't stay glued to the TV or social media - their aim is to get your attention and they do this by ALWAYS giving you bad news.

** Do a good deed for someone else - always makes you feel better. This can mean picking up the phone and having a chat.

** Watch a comedy have a good belly laugh

** Exercise outside in nature will get the happy hormones going it will help control your weight...because many of us EAT when we are upset.

** Have s*x! It's another feel-good activity!

** Talking about eating ditch the junk if those high-calorie snacks have crept into your cupboard throw them out!

** Don't feel like you need to jump on board and argue with those of opposing views on social media

Is the pandemic making you gain weight?

So many people are now inside not doing their regular exercise routine and turning to comfort food.

BUT here is a tip, don't let being isolated or on your own an excuse of NOT keeping to a routine.

What you can do is simple:

* hire a treadmill or bike
* use the rubber bands
* look on youtube for exercises in the home

Eating wise - DON'T buy what you like as it sort of calls out to you and YOU know you will give in to the temptation.

** get the snacks prepared that won't do the damage present them on a nice
plate.

** find something to keep you busy, or catch up on reading BUT set a timer to
move off the couch EVERY hour.

Love you guys MISS you.
