SHQ's Contraceptive Implant Theory Workshop lays the foundations for clinicians to become skilled in providing contraceptive implant services.
Participants completing this RACGP accredited 2-hour course will have a thorough understanding of:
βIssues to cover during counselling about contraceptive implant use.
β Benefits, risks and contraindications to use of contraceptive implants.
β Insertion and removal techniques, including practice insertions and removals with simulation arms.

Fully funded AUSLARC Implanon training scholarships are available to eligible health professionals.
AUSLARC is led by Sexual and Reproductive Health Australia (SRHA) in partnership with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
This initiative received grant funding from the Australian Government. It includes a national evaluation framework to support long-term impact and sustainability.
