The 2026 International Women's Day theme highlights the significant barriers to justice and human rights experienced by women and girls in Australia and worldwide, specifically low conviction rates in sexual assault cases, systemic discrimination, and challenges faced by First Nations women, including overrepresentation in the justice system and limited access to culturally safe legal support.

Balance the Scales reminds us that equality is not about advantage for some – it is about dignity, safety, and fairness for all.

This course helps counsellors, psychologists, behaviour support practitioners, disability workers, and other professionals who support children and young people with disabilities distinguish between typical, concerning, and harmful behaviours; understand contributing factors; and implement interventions that are safe, ethical, and supportive.
