As most would know by now, a few months ago we made the decision to close ISTS. It’s taken me a while to make this post - there is way too much to say and too many people to thank!

I have had a little scrap of paper with the definition of the word “Empower” stuck to my mirror for as long as I’ve had the gym. It’s brought me so much joy - more than a lifetimes worth of it - to be able to do this every day for the last few years. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to each and every person who gave me the opportunity to experience this every day.

Closing the gym was not an easy decision to make and I know from the outside it seemed very sudden - but my mental health had been deteriorating for a long time and had hit breaking point. A lot of people were very surprised when I shared this with them over the last few weeks, as from the outside I seemed fine…but this was the result of a lot of energy spent “seeming fine.” As soon as I got to “work”, being there as a business owner and coach was always my highest priority. The lesson I’m taking away from this is that sometimes, the bravest and most selfless thing you can do is actually just admit how much you’re struggling, and ask for help.

So go check in on your friends who seem “fine,” and with yourself! ♥️

Whilst I’m sad it’s all come to an end so suddenly, I am so grateful to have had this experience and excited to bring all the lessons I learnt into my next adventure ✨

One of my first personal training clients and now one of my most cherished friends, I never thought I’d see the day left our little gym. I still remember when was just an idea, a little brainstorm in my diary, and you were one of the people who made me believe I could do it. Thank you for the endless encouragement and support you’ve provided not only to me in opening the gym, but to all our members. I’m not crying, you’re crying 🥺

What a way to end this weekend! So incredibly stoked for - 10/10 day, 3/3 white lights on 9/9 lifts and 3 shiny new PBs 😍 and I only almost cried twice. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to coach you through this ❤️

🍳 Super Easy High Protein/Low Calorie Frittata 🍳 Ingredients: 500g egg whites, 8x eggs, 280g bag of spinach, 5x slices (80g) Bega 50% Less Fat cheese, paprika, salt, pepper.
🥚 Put a small amount of water in a deep saucepan, add the spinach and wilt. Remove from heat and drain spinach in a colander.
🥚 Whisk the eggs and egg whites with pepper, salt and a little (or a lot) of paprika. Return the pan to a medium heat and add the egg mixture.
🥚 Add the spinach in chunks and then swirl through the egg mix.
🥚 Arrange the cheese slices on top. Leave the mix to cook, with the lid on, until the edges look cooked but the middle is still slightly wet looking.
🥚 Once it gets to this point, you can take the pan off the heat and put it under a grill to finish the top off. If you don’t have a grill, you can just leave it on the heat and it will cook through eventually (with the lid on).
Cut into 4 slices and voila 👩‍🍳 I topped mine with pomegranate seeds and a crunchy sprout mix. Sugar free tomato sauce is great too.
