Earbox Audiology visits Butler Family Practice each month and specialises in checking children’s ears and hearing. The audiologist can test for ‘glue ear’, hearing loss and provide a detailed report for their GP/ENT specialist.

From 1st March 2023, parents can now claim a Medicare rebate for their child's audiology appointment (an out-of-pocket cost still applies). Simply request a written referral from your GP before booking🙂

If your little one is starting kindy or preprimary next year, now is the time to start thinking about their hearing. 10% of children start school with a hearing issue. Parents of children with a hearing problem often comment 'they say 'what?' alot' or 'their speech isn't as good other kids their age'.

Getting an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist can take time so just observe your child and if in doubt, get those ears checked by an audiologist asap! It may not be 'selective hearing' after all.
