Incredible work over the last 12 weeks from .

We managed to enjoy the festivities of the World Cup, weddings and social gatherings all with the main objective of hitting his weight loss goal.

The impressive element of Dylan’s journey was not in the weight-loss itself but in the fact we were able to factor in his social life and achieve his target.

No crazy big deficits or fad diets, just certain tools and habits ingrained around training, nutrition and lifestyle routines.

Process vs End product.

As clichè as it sounds I definitely enjoyed the process of my photo shoot rather than the end product. I personally found the day to day learning, training and prep was far more satisfying than the end result.

This doesn’t mean I’m not super proud and happy with the photos from but for me I really enjoyed the discipline, mental challenge and routine leading up to the day.

I’d say to anyone who is thinking of going down this avenue to enjoy the day to day challenges and process rather than fixating on the date and the shoot itself.

I took on this challenge with the aim of self learning and discovery, and boy did I.

I personally feel that having a coach whilst trying to reach a goal like this, is really important, especially for accountability and advice. Even coaches need coaches. Reach out to me if you need support or help.

At the end of last year I decided to challenge myself and booked a photo shoot with

Now, let's dive into the "why" behind this decision.

Having spent my entire life training for rugby, my training focus has always revolved around size and strength, primarily for performance. The idea of training purely for aesthetic purposes was completely outside my comfort zone.

For a long time, I knew that dipping below a certain weight would have a negative impact on the rugby field. For the first time since I was 15 I went below 90kg. I went from 100kg to 85kg in 12 weeks.

My motivation wasn't solely about achieving this physical change though. I embarked on this journey to challenge myself and to understand what it's like to strive for weight loss. Many of my clients have weight loss as their goal, and I wanted to not only relate to them but also be able to empathise with their personal journey.

The entire experience proved to be both enjoyable and enlightening. There are undoubtedly pros and cons to pursuing a physique like this, and over the next few weeks i'll be sharing more on this alongside my tips to apply fake tan.

A picture of what consistency and hard work looks like. started with me 16 months ago, personal training and online coaching (whilst working FIFO) with the main goal of getting in shape for his wedding.

Jason has now progressed to strength classes at where he continues week in, week out, to hit his minimum requirement of 3 sessions a week. I often get people saying 3 sessions a week isn’t enough. Well, it is if everything outside the gym is in line. Nutrition, steps and sleep. You can have the best program in the world but if everything outside the gym doesn’t align with your goals and values then you’re unlikely to see results.

I am so proud of this lads journey, not that it matters, because he’s create life long habits, feeling and looking great but, 86kg ➡️ 75kg 🎉

I grew up with (CEO) and not only is he a legend, his knowledge on nutrition is mind blowing. Treat yourself as the client. Be the case study.

I Set some big goals when I came back from Ireland. I wanted to treat myself as my own client.

What did that include ?

- goal setting - I set a big goal of completing a Olympic triathlon 31st of October while being in a 15% deficit. This meant having to be super precise nutrition plan. I aim to complete this triathlon with the minimal dose training volume possible.
- 1 run a week
- 1 long bike a week
- 2 x max 30 min swims
- 1 x zone 2

I am currently getting 4 weight sessions minimum a week (max 45 mins)

- I check in with myself every monday - measurements, body weight and progress pics.

- each week I have set micro goals of losing 0.5kg.

- I’ve been specific with my weight loss - aim 92kg

- specific with my with my body fat < 14% body fat.

- tracking on my fitness pal, it’s turned into a habit now, like brushing my teeth. 2700 kcals my daily target till i plateau.

Findings - having a specific date, specific targets and micro goals as made this attainable and enjoyable.

Has been tricky at times but that’s a challenge, challenges aren’t meant to be easy. Suck it up and push on. Don’t let slip ups consume you. Have a burger get over it.

Will continue to update along the track, here is some of the progress so far.

I have another big goal set for 1st of December but will announce later on. Focusing on one at a time.

Give back to your body - We constantly take from our body’s, whether it be work, training, socialising or family.

I feel very lucky to have Steve in my corner, I check in With Steve at least twice a month for a tune up. I honestly believe he is the best in the business, people often wait till there injured to see a Physio, doctor or chiropractor.

Service your body like you service your car. Stay on top.

Today I trained, saw Steve and finished with 30 minutes in the sauna. What do you do to give back ?

Currently 10 days into my all out gains program which focuses on maximising muscle growth. This will be part 1 of a 2 phase hypertrophic program (muscle gain).
