I have a confession to make.

I don't know if I will be making Medicine Drums again.

Since being pregnant, I have thought about becoming a:
Hypnobirthing Educator
Doula
Celebrant
Wedding Planner
Antenatal Yoga Teacher
And so on.
My ADHD brain has been pinging with ideas.

But right now, the only future I see for myself is birthing my beautiful baby and being an active, mindful, and loving mum.

I hold no expectations for myself outside of that.

I am approaching my Rite of Passage from Maiden to Mother as a legally blind woman, and although I have no idea how that will work, I know I will figure it out.

I have abundant love, support, and tools in my kit, and I feel confident about entering this new space.

Yep, there will be s**t days, maybe even weeks. But that's what Maccas hashbrowns and Coke are for - right?

Just kidding 😉 (although that remains my go-to crappy-day fix!)

My village has got me, just like I have them in their times of need.

I chatted with a friend about grief today 💞

More precisely, grieving something we expected or hoped would be a certain way, such as life's general direction.

I shared that grieving the loss of not just my sight but the opportunities and independence I assumed I'd always have, helps.

But it is something I have to do over and over again at each stage of deterioration, coming face-to-face with my frustration, anger, and loneliness so I can find peace and resilience on the other side.

One thing I hear ALL the time is, "Coming to this workshop with you just felt right"
