β€οΈπŸ’› Red & Yellow Day Appeal – Support the Volunteers Who Keep Our Beaches Safe πŸ’›β€οΈ

From 3 March – 6 May, Trigg Island SLSC is proud to support the Red & Yellow Day Appeal, helping fund the volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping our beaches and community safe.

Every season our patrol members put on the red and yellow with one goal β€” to prevent drowning and save lives. Funds raised through this appeal help provide essential training, rescue equipment and patrol resources so our lifesavers can continue protecting our coastline.

If you’ve ever swum between the flags, watched your kids at Nippers, or felt safer seeing red and yellow on the beach, this is your chance to give back.

Every donation makes a difference.

πŸ‘‰ Donate via the link: https://bit.ly/40UfWIW
πŸ‘‰ Rally your workplace, school, friends or family to support the cause

Together we can ensure our lifesavers have the support they need to keep our community safe.

Over the past few weeks Verity has been an incredible support to the IRB team and water safety crews, spending long days on the water helping keep competitors and members safe across events and training.

It’s fantastic to see the next generation stepping up, building skills and confidence in lifesaving and water safety. Verity is a great example of the future strength of our patrol teams.

πŸ’—πŸŒŠ International Women’s Day at Trigg Island πŸŒŠπŸ’—

Today we celebrate the incredible women and girls who make up the heart of our Trigg Island SLSC community.

From our youngest Nippers finding confidence in the water, to our patrol members keeping our beach safe, to our athletes competing at the highest level, volunteers behind the scenes, coaches, officials and leaders β€” the impact of women at Trigg is powerful and inspiring every single day.

Surf Life Saving has come a long way over the past 45 years, and our club is stronger because of the dedication, skill and passion of the amazing women who give their time to support Our Island. πŸ’šβ€οΈ

Next Sunday we also celebrate our Pink Patrol, recognising the role women play in lifesaving and the difference they make in our community.

To every woman and girl at Trigg β€” thank you for the energy, leadership and positivity you bring to the beach and beyond.

Happy International Women’s Day.

πŸ“… 3 March – 6 May

Today we’re proud to take part in the Red & Yellow Day Appeal, supporting Surf Life Saving volunteers who keep our beaches and community safe.

🌊 Train and upskill our lifesavers
πŸš‘ Maintain critical rescue equipment
πŸ–οΈ Patrol our beach and protect our community

If you’ve ever swum between the flags, watched your child at Nippers, or felt safer knowing someone in red and yellow was on patrol β€” this is your chance to give back.

What a State Championships campaign for Trigg Island SLSC.

A massive congratulations to our entire community β€” from our athletes who competed with pride and grit, to the army of volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring these events to life. We simply can’t do it without you. πŸ™Œ

πŸ… 114 medals across all State Championship events
πŸ₯‡ 44 Gold
πŸ₯ˆ 36 Silver
πŸ₯‰ 34 Bronze
πŸ† 2nd Overall Club

Our Open athletes delivered something special:

πŸ”₯ Femke Negus – Open Ironwoman Champion & Open Ski Champion

πŸš€ Reece Baker – Open Ski Champion & Double Ski Champion (with Dan Humble)

To every competitor, official, water safety, age manager, IRB crew, parent, supporter and volunteer β€” thank you. This is what community looks like.
