🩡 It’s On Tomorrow!
Our All Abilities Woodside Nippers Program kicks off this Sunday, and with all places sold out, we can’t wait to welcome our families to the beach.

This program is all about building confidence, connection and creating positive beach experiences for children of all abilities β€” a proud step forward for inclusion at Trigg. We can't wait to see our new teal nipper caps in action.

See you on the sand 🌊

πŸ’— Pink Patrol – Sunday 15 March 2026 πŸ’—

Trigg Island Surf Life Saving Club is proud to be gearing up for Pink Patrol β€” a powerful initiative celebrating women and girls in surf lifesaving, while showcasing leadership, confidence and connection on the beach.

Pink Patrol is more than a patrol. It’s about visibility, empowerment and inspiring the next generation of female lifesavers to step forward πŸ’ͺ

We’re inviting all members and supporters who would like to be involved β€” on the beach, behind the scenes or in a support role β€” to attend a short planning meeting:

πŸ“… Sunday 1 February
⏰ Following Nipper Club Championships

All levels of experience are welcome. If you’re passionate about empowering women in surf lifesaving, we’d love to have you involved.

Red & Yellow Day – Wear the Colours. Fly the Flags. Save Lives.
On Wednesday 4 March, Surf Life Saving Australia is launching the first ever Red & Yellow Day β€” a national celebration of the iconic colours that represent safety, community and saving lives on our beaches.

Whether you’re a business owner, employee, teacher, surf lifesaving club member, or simply someone who loves the coast, there’s a place for everyone on Red & Yellow Day.

By wearing red and yellow, donating, fundraising, or even taking the step to join a surf lifesaving club, you can help support the vital work surf lifesavers do every day and acknowledge their role in keeping our beaches safe. Together, we can help turn the tide on coastal drowning.

We encourage our Trigg Island community to get involved, wear the colours with pride, and help spread the message by sharing the Red & Yellow Day video far and wide. Every action β€” big or small β€” helps back our surf lifesavers and raise awareness of the importance of beach safety.

Let’s fly the flags, wear the colours, and show our support this Red & Yellow Day.

🌟 Volunteer of the Week: Kristine Gillmore 🌟

This week, we’re proud to recognise Kris Gillmore as our Volunteer of the Week πŸ‘

Kris has been phenomenal in her support of the club’s building project, contributing significant time, energy and expertise as part of the Building Committee. Her behind-the-scenes work has played an important role in helping move this major project forward.

Beyond this, Kris is a familiar face around the club β€” regularly supporting Sunday Club Swim and running Tuesday yoga sessions for our Silver Salties, helping foster connection, wellbeing and inclusivity within our senior member community.

Always positive, professional and willing to step in wherever help is needed, Kris’ impact is felt across many areas of the club. Trigg Island is stronger because of volunteers like her πŸ’š

Thank you, Kris, for everything you do for ❀️🀍

πŸ’‘ Gym Lighting Upgrade Complete πŸ’‘

We’re pleased to let members know that new LED lighting has now been installed in the gym, improving visibility, safety and overall usability of the space.

A big thank you to everyone who continued to use the gym while works were underway β€” we appreciate your patience and understanding during the upgrade.

This improvement forms part of a broader program of facility upgrades across the club, with several other maintenance items currently being addressed, we’ll continue to keep members updated as these works progress over the coming weeks.

If you notice anything that needs attention around the club, please don’t hesitate to contact Rene in the office at πŸ“§ admin@triggisland.com.
