Moments of discomfort can indicate that you are stretching beyond what feels familiar.

Growth rarely occurs within comfort. With awareness and persistence, discomfort can become progress.

Why am I a bully? It's a confronting question, but one worth asking.

In today's post, we explore the signs you might be engaging in bullying behaviour, often without even realising it. From subtle put-downs and exclusion to online trolling and power plays, bullying doesn't always look the way we expect.

Recognising the pattern is the first step to changing it. Because real strength isn't about putting others down, it's about lifting them up.

If this resonates with you or someone you know, share it. Awareness saves lives. 💙

“My employer pays for the EAP, so they must know who uses it… right?”

This is one of the most common questions we hear.

There is often uncertainty about confidentiality when it comes to Employee Assistance Programs, particularly around what information is shared and with whom.

Understanding how confidentiality works can help reduce hesitation and provide reassurance for those considering support.

In this post, we address some of the key questions about privacy, confidentiality and what your employer can and cannot access.

Myth Busted!

Offering mental health support doesn’t open the door to misuse, it opens the door to a healthier workplace.
When organisations actively promote support, the result is a more engaged workforce with reduced absenteeism and burnout. The real barrier isn’t entitlement; it’s stigma.
At Lifeskills Australia, we’re here to help your organisation build a culture where seeking support is seen as a strength, not a weakness. #

Even small assumptions about age, gender, culture or neurodiversity can affect how we connect, communicate and support each other.

This Harmony Week, let’s reflect, challenge our assumption, and embrace the richness of diversity in our communities. Together, we can create more inclusive and understanding spaces for everyone.
Over to you: What’s one stereotype you’ve challenged or want to challenge? Share your thoughts in the comments and inspire others!

You don’t need a diagnosis to deserve support
Struggling is real, whether or not there’s a label attached to it. A diagnosis can be a helpful tool, but it was never meant to be the measure of someone’s pain or a prerequisite for care.
We want to be proactive in preventing a mental health issue from turning into a mental health illness, because the earlier we reach out, the better the outcome for everyone.
At Lifeskills Australia, we believe every employee deserves access to support, exactly as they are.

Patterns rarely shift without intention. When left unexamined, familiar behaviours tend to repeat, even when they no longer serve us.

Change begins with awareness and one deliberate decision to do things differently.

Today is an opportunity to interrupt the cycle and move forward with purpose.

Today we honour the strength, resilience and brilliance of women everywhere. May we continue to champion equality, elevate each other’s voices and recognise the remarkable contributions of women in every sphere of life. Together we rise.
