HEART OPENING - this is me in my state of holding sound; concentrating, listening, taking in the words and sense from the group who were present. All the while next to Sarah who is gently guiding, offering and encouraging folk to find their peace and space in movement and stillness.

Lovely Sarah and I met at the wonderful portal that is a couple of years ago. She was working there (she still does on fortnightly Sundays. As I do now from time to time!) while I was setting up my sound bath in the event space. After various meaningful conversations we listened to the call to collaborate.

SOUNDS OF OUR FEATHERED KIN

Our clay & sound meditation in the park was in symphony with large flocks of western corellas or ‘manitj’ in Noongar.

So cheeky, playful, connected and vocal it made for a dynamic soundscape to collaborate with for our play, contemplation, presence by the lake.

TRANSMUTE, TRANSCEND, TRANSFORM

One of the hats that you may not know about me is that I’m an animation producer. Through that lens I was invited to the launch of ‘Illuminate’ at Yagan Square in Boorloo last night.

If ever there was a sign for us to come into our divine sovereignty and power, to enlighten our heart space and to release what’s not needed - the sound and visual from this stunning digital artwork was it!!

RE-WILDING SOUND
On my regular walks to my local park I’ve noticed the subtle differences in sound that are presented through the change of environment of the two islands.
The difference between the endemic and introduced is not only been reflected visually, however also aurally.

Beauty in the organic and subtle.

OVERTONES - Close your eyes and listen ✨

This beautiful chime set lives in the serene portal, the Carinya Room at Bay Road Collective.
I couldn’t help but play it while I was setting up for an offering that I co-hosted at the weekend and ended up recording the sound to capture the overtones, which were angelic and dreamy.

May we continue to explore the beauty and power of sound.

Mapping our Inner Ocean: A Yin Yoga & Sound Bath Journey

This unique experience returns in April for one last time. Inspired by ‘A call and response across the ocean’, Thania Petersen’s exhibition for 2026, at John Curtin Gallery.

Set amongst ’s ‘Rampies Sny’ installation, this sessions feature gentle yin yoga paired with a calming sound bath, guiding you to reflect deeply on your personal journey through the past, present, and future.

Hosted by JCG’s Education Coordinator, Mel Macaulay , and Sound Journey Facilitator, Anita Emor the experience encourages participants to pause, contemplate, and reconnect with themselves and their collective histories.

🌿 CLAY & SOUND MEDITATION IN THE PARK 🌿
OUR PLAYFUL & PEACEFUL OFFERING TO WELCOME THE SEASON OF DJERAN

An invitation to come together in a community park (and book-end the April school holidays) on a journey to inner discovery, self-reflection, and creative exploration with clay play and mindfulness practices complemented by a live sonorous soundscape.

This offering is open to kids and adults - approximate ages 8+ :- with the intention of creating and activating safe community spaces for intergenerational connection.

Recognising nature’s cycles and connection to this land we create a moment for new intentions, grounding and connecting to the earth through this clay meditation.

🧩Collaborative art installation
We will collectively contribute to a group impermanent clay sculptural art form/ shrine that will cycle back into the earth as an offering.

Why live sound:
Through a live soundscape that connects with the environment and utilises frequencies and resonant sounds, the vibrations encourage listening and flow into a meditative state to allow for creativity and presence. Instruments like crystal bowls, chimes, voice, and drone flute will be activated while you create and meditate.

Treat yourself to an afternoon offering that has been created with the intention of guiding you into deep relaxation, presence and peace to re-set for the week ahead.

This soulful sound bath will include beautiful Reiki energy with ✨

Reiki means universal energy and is a hands on practice where energy is transferred for relaxation and rebalancing. Tina will offer 2-3 Reiki positions of hands on healing or hands off aura healing, while you are bathed in sound bath.
