Good Question... Most clinics offer you short-term pain relief, we find the actual cause and resolve it for good. Fieldwork Health is a Physiotherapy Clinic based in Beaufort St, Inglewood, Perth, Western Australia. We provide a thorough systemised assesment approach which allows us to treat your problem with precision, this reduces your downtime by addressing the problem and not constantly chasing pain. We specialize in Movement Assessment using a systematic approach called SFMA (selective functional movement) and FMS (functional Movement Screen). These systems were designed by the highest regarded practitioners in USA including Physical Therapists, Chiropractors and Sports Doctors. SFMA
The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is a series of 7 full-body movement tests designed to assess fundamental patterns of movement such as bending and squatting in those with known musculoskeletal pain. This approach is designed to:
- Complement the existing physical exam
- Efficiently integrate the posture, muscle balance and the fundamental patterns of movement into musculoskeletal practice.
- Easily identify corrective strategies to minimise imbalances
- Serves as a baseline for reassessment

FMS
The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is the product of an exercise philosophy known as Functional Movement Systems. This exercise philosophy and corresponding set of resources is based on sound science, years of innovation, and current research. How it Works – Simplifying Movement
Put simply, the FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. Evaluation
- The screen effortlessly identifies asymmetries and limitations, diminishing the need for extensive testing and analysis. Corrective Strategies
- The FMS can be applied at any fitness level, simplifying corrective strategies of a wide array of movement issues. It identifies specific exercises based on individual FMS scores to instantly create customized treatment plans.

Hello to our newest Senior Physio, Chris 👋

Chris is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist who’s been working across Perth’s public and private sectors since 2006. His interest in physio started through sport (and a few injuries along the way), which sparked a long-term passion for helping people move better and get back to doing what they love.

Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find Chris coaching his kids’ sports teams, perfecting his low-and-slow BBQ skills, or trying to get his lawn just right 🌱🔥
