Winners of the State Management Challenge. For the 2nd year in a row the City of Kwinana has taken home the prize. This is the first time any local government has won consecutive years.

It's been awesome working with the City of Kwinana again, first with presenting (so proud that they scored 10 out of 10 for their outstanding presentations) and yesterday we had a hoot and some serious work as we dived deep into critical and creative thinking and leadership communication in preparation for the National finals in Brisbane, and with the continued work they do in the community.

Thanks to Fiona for trusting me with your team for yet another year. You all rock!

Don't set your key people up to fail.

Presenting, facilitating meetings, addressing the team, speaking at a conference or delivering some training all require skills.
No-one was born with these skills.

It's very unfair to throw your people into situations that can damage their confidence, cause embarrassment or affect their leadership capability just because they don't have the necessary skills to succeed.
