Thanks to our community’s support and generosity, we can provide compassionate, professional counselling to young people and their families across WA.

Every young person’s journey involves a vital network of supporters, and we are proud to walk alongside them through the journey.

Together, we can help change the trajectory of a young person’s life – offering a safe space to explore the challenges they face as they work through adolescence and early adulthood.

As the year comes to an end, we start to reflect on the year that was and look forward to the festive season. For some, however, this time of year can be challenging.

Many young people and families across WA have spent the year navigating mental health challenges or supporting someone they love though theirs.

Katie*, a parent of a young person who’s been helped by our services recently, shared her experience in a powerful reflection - which you can read at youthfocus.com.au

Pride Month in Perth Metro was filled with joyful moments and meaningful connections!

We kicked off at headspace Midland’s Pride Prom: A Night Among the Stars, celebrating with dancing, creativity and plenty of colour. Then we joined in at the PrideFest Fairday, chatting with the community about ‘What Pride Means to Them’ and celebrating everything Pride represents.

Such a fun month for our teams and the community.

Today is International Day of People with Disability.

Mental health challenges can sometimes be a hidden disability. When something isn’t visible, it’s easy to make assumptions. That’s why open, honest conversations matter - they help us understand what someone is going through and what support could help.

Here is a reminder that everyone experiences disability differently, so the support that works best will also be different for each person.

Today marks the beginning of 16 Days in WA - starting on the 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, continuing through to 10 December, Human Rights Day.

This annual campaign calls on individuals, workplaces, and communities across Western Australia to take action in preventing family, domestic and sexual violence.

We all play a part in stopping family and domestic violence. Play your part by supporting those around you, remembering that help and support is always available.
