​Nearly 10 years ago, my life hit a total stop-work order.

Sitting in a psychiatric ward with a Bipolar 1 diagnosis and psychosis, I was told my career was over. My foundations were cracked, and the site was considered condemned.
​They were wrong.

​I have been my own "first student," and by applying the same Method I use to manage multi-million dollar building sites to my own mind, I’ve reached achievements I didn't think were possible:

2025 marks a cycle of 7 years living with the illness of type 1 bipolar disorder. It has and always will be a hard battle but with the right support, sleep, medication and routine life can just be as normal as everyone else.

I have worked very hard on my illness to make it a manageable condition over the years and im so proud of how far I have come.

The snap shot of the last 7 years are as follows and I can't wait to see what I can achieve in the next 7 years.

2018 diagnosed bipolar 1 disorder after coming off medication from my first episode of psychosis.

2019 created MAWS ( mental awareness with sports)

First surf trip to meet professional bodyboarder with same illness

Invited onto 100.9fm radio

First maws meeting created

Got fired for disclosing my illness to my boss

Completed Mental health first aid course

Maws bowling launched

Challenged myself in carpentry

Created t shirt brand and stickers

2020

became a dad

Became a qualified surf coach and taught surfing, skateboarding and bodyboarding

Featured on channel 9

Best of the west channel 9 nomination with 5k from BankWest

Created custom surfboard

Hosted skateboard birthday parties

Built a patio and deck combo when i was told it might not be possible due to my shoulder reconstruction

Started at a new builder with 4 day weeks to spend more time with family.

I won site manager of the year :). Its been a journey managing bipolar disorder for the last 7 years but I have never let the illness define me or limit my potential for success.

Never stop believing in yourself no matter the set backs :).

After months of training i have lost all my medication weight.
84kg to now 75kg
Med weight is always hard to loose, I'm so glad I have achieved this goal.
Now to maintain it :)

Hi everyone

I have been approached by wisdom yoga to see if any children would be intrested in free yoga classes

I would need to find a venue or public space to run the classes from but need confirmation of numbers for weekend yoga classes.

Today marks the day I launched my first meet and great for maws at mindarie.

Hi everyone

Since my injury to my shoulder and being forced out of my career as a carpenter, I have started a new career as a construction site supervisor for a residential builder.

If you are looking at building in the northern corridor of perth I could steer you to the right person to talk to and I will be supervising your build from slab to key hand over.

I have recieved some great references from past clients and have a lot of experience in the building industry.
