Big things rolling into the TNWA Creative Group Excursions 💚

Our new TNWA community bus is in the process of getting wrapped and we’re excited. 12 seats, wheelchair‑accessible transport with space for up to 2 wheelchairs and a hoist.

Built to support transport across Community Group Excursions, Get Ready Together Initiative, and to help participants get where they need to go, anywhere.

Most people don’t realise how close food insecurity feels to home.

If putting food on the table proves to be a struggle, Foodbank WA support is available through a simple referral process.

Foodbank can provide fresh fruit and vegetables, pantry supplies and other essential groceries to anyone who may be dealing with food insecurity.

Foodbank also runs mobile food vans across Western Australia, bringing food directly to communities, especially in regional and high-need areas.

We also have our own Community Pantry here at Together Now WA for people needing urgent support.

It’s official! 💚
The GRT launch is just around the corner and the uniforms have arrived.

Get Ready Together or GRT for short is a free, community-based transition initiative for young people with complex disabilities who are finishing school and stepping into adult life.

GRT is delivered using the ASDAN framework, a globally recognised, activity-based learning approach focused on real-life skills, confidence and participation.

There is no pressure to be “job ready,” and no one-size-fits-all outcomes.
Only structure, connection, life skills and belonging after school ends.

GRT runs in Ballajura at the Dungeon Youth Centre.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30AM to 2:30PM.

Kahtye’s Respite stay and what a great overnight adventure it was 💚

He enjoyed activities tailored to his interests, a change of environment, and the chance to build confidence and independence in a supportive setting.

Respite care with TNWA is short‑term support away from home that focuses on wellbeing, growth, and connection for participants, while giving carers time to reset too. Not a holiday, just support that’s done properly. We loved being part of Kahtye’s day and seeing him show up and show out.

Why collaboration with allied health matters.

Better care doesn’t happen in silos. It happens when speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nutritionists and other allied health professionals work together, share insights, and stay aligned around participants receiving care.
