What a fantastic night at The Guildford Hotel!

Our Creative Group Excursion brought TNWA members and support workers together for a fun-filled quiz night and delicious dinner. Laughter, teamwork, and plenty of brainpower made it an unforgettable evening.

Christmas Table 2025 reminded us why community matters most. The holiday season can be tough, especially with the rising cost of living, and we wanted local families to feel cared for. Thanks to you, that happened.

From shared meals to laughter and connection, this event was a success because of the incredible support from our sponsors: City of Swan, Good360 Australia, Ballajura Community College, The Market Place Ballajura IGA, Side Street Cafe, Just Simply Loving, Sister Project, Swan Communities for Children, Swan Community Connect, and Kids First Australia.

Our neighbours need us! Two community members have lost all their belongings and urgently need donations.

What’s needed:
- Beds, mattresses, sofa, curtains, bedding, towels
- Any other household items
- Food
- Clothing (Men’s XL, Women’s Size 10)
- Shoes (Men's 12, Women's 6)
- Dog beds and toys

Please call our admin team at (08) 6556 8870 to make arrangements before donating. As we do not have storage facilities, it’s important to speak with a staff member first to coordinate drop-offs.

Relief and support are always important, but they are especially needed during the Christmas season to help those in need.

We are heading to iFly to experience the thrill of flying with an instructor and enjoy some time in the wind tunnel. Then, it’ll be playtime at Garvey Park with a delicious meal from Subway.

We are hosting a special Christmas event this Friday for community members who could use a little extra support and festive spirit this year. The holiday season can be tough, especially with the rising cost of living, and we want to make sure local families feel cared for.

We have invited more than 120 families to enjoy a beautiful evening with gifts and a dinner prepared by local favourite Side Street Cafe.

We are still seeking volunteers to help make the night run smoothly.

Roles include:
🎁 Welcoming guests and helping them find their seats
🎁 Serving dinner and bringing positive energy to the room
🎁 Assisting with rolling out gifts for families
🎁 Kitchen support for those who do not mind getting their hands a little soapy

The event is in Ballajura from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, and volunteers will be asked to arrive a little earlier for a quick briefing. If you can spare even an hour or two, it would make a huge difference.

From classic consoles to modern favourites, the group spent the day exploring, learning, and connecting with peers.

We are seeking three support workers to provide ONE OFF cover this Friday 5 December to Saturday morning for a mid 50s woman with high needs dementia. This role involves full personal care and mobility assistance.

Shift details:
- 11am to 4pm, 1 to 1 care
- 4pm to 6pm, 2 to 1 care
- 6pm to 11pm, 1 to 1 care
- 11pm to 6am awake shift (Saturday)

You will need:
- Dementia care experience
- National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Confidence with full personal care and mobility support
- A caring, calm, and reliable approach

We are heading to Pasta in the Valley for a hands-on pasta workshop where kids can cook, play, explore, and enjoy a full meal and gelato.
