Ocean Gardens is an independent retirement living village with home care support in City Beach, Western Australia.

Ocean Gardens is not like other retirement villages. We are a not-for-profit independent living village in beautiful City Beach. Ocean Gardens is an incorporated association governed by its members and a board of independent directors. We are nestled upon 6.5 beautiful hectares, offering stunning residences and first-class facilities within a private coastal setting. And as a single destination, everything you see at Ocean Gardens is the start and end of where our attention is focused.

Ocean Gardens' Patchwork Group not only strengthens the social fabric of our village, they also contribute to impoverished communities around the world. These handmade blankets are donated alongside life-changing wheelchairs to children with disabilities across 90 locations worldwide. Our residents join over 300 volunteers who sew blankets and soft toys for the Perth-based not-for-profit, Wheelchairs for Kids Australia.

Look back on a fun-filled February! 🎣🪻🎂🐉🌺

Events spanned all the way down from Fremantle Boat Harbour and up to Yanchep Lavender Estate. We also brought a taste of Chinese cuisine to our Year of the Dragon celebration, while our Pool Party gave residents a mini tropical getaway right here at Ocean Gardens!

The Wellness Program transformed Ocean Gardens' pool into a dance floor with a fun pool party 🪩🎶

Jo brought the dance routines, Niall brought the DJ set, and everyone brought the good vibes!

To help keep food out of landfill, we have placed a donation basket at the restaurant entrance. This is one of Ocean Gardens' many initiatives to promote sustainability and give to the community.

Chef Michelina and Pilar are also establishing a volunteer group to cook meals for those in need. Residents are invited to contact 0437 809 726 if they are interested in joining.

Some residents recently had a lovely morning tea at Lavender Estate in Yanchep 🪻

The group enjoyed scones with jam and cream and explored the lavender fields in full bloom. Thank you to Jo Sykes for coordinating this outing.

Ocean Gardens' residents are delighted to welcome four new students from Hale School to our resident-run Art Group.

The students will join our group for a series of workshops and focus activities throughout the semester.

We look forward to seeing what beautiful artworks this talented group will create! 🎨🖌️🖼️

Snooker is one of dozens of activities ran by residents, for residents here at Ocean Gardens. All residents are welcome to come down to the Recreation Lounge at 1:30pm any day of the week to join in a game!

Out with the old, in with the new! This demolition makes space for our exciting redevelopment project which will feature 24 spacious new apartments. We're thrilled to continue enhancing Ocean Gardens for our current and future residents.

Enjoy the warm weather and make the most of school holidays with a dip in the village pool 🏊

To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all, please remember to follow the pool rules:
🔹 Shower before entering water in clean swimwear or clothing.
🔹 Do not enter water if suffering from any skin or wound problems, infections or contagious disease.
🔹 No diving or bombing in the pool.
🔹 Do not enter water intoxicated.
🔹 Family of the residents using the pool must be supervised by the resident.
🔹 No food, glass or china to be permitted within the gated pool area.
🔹 No use of pool and facilities allowed after dark.
🔹 Please be mindful of apartment residents and keep the noise down.
🔹 Babies or toddlers to wear age appropriate safety devices and swimwear.

December was a very festive month at Ocean Gardens! 🎉

With plenty of Christmas celebrations, including our annual Christmas Markets, and other highlights such as Bhutanese National Day and Karaoke, there was no shortage of opportunities to party!

The Wellness Program celebrates a record-breaking year with over 40% of residents attending classes to improve their health and wellbeing!

Our dedicated Wellness Leads Jo and Niall offer over a dozen weekly classes, ranging from Chair Yoga to Aqua Fit.

The positive feedback from residents inspires our team to make next year's program even stronger. 💪
