The Bright Tomorrows team had a wonderful time at the Zig Zag Kalamunda Christmas event last week. It was great to see familiar faces, chat with families about the app, and watch the kids enjoying time with Bobbie.

This was our final community event for 2025, and we’re truly grateful for all the families we’ve met and the connections we’ve built throughout the year. Looking forward to an even brighter 2026 ✨

Tip for mealtimes with kids 🍽️
Try placing the meal in the middle of the table and letting your child serve themselves. No pressure, no comments, just choice.

When kids decide what (and how much) to put on their plate, they build confidence and independence. They also feel more open to trying new foods over time. Remember: it can take seeing, touching, smelling, or tasting a food many times before they actually like it. Even if they don’t eat it, having it on the table helps!

✨ You can help your child learn to focus by playing games that ask them to look carefully. Start by saying, 'I found something blue! Can you guess what it is?' Now let them choose the next colour. Take turns being the 'finder' and the 'guesser.'

💡 Games can help children learn new skills. When they look, find, follow rules, guess, and remember, they build focus and thinking skills while having fun.

Next time you’re in the kitchen together, ask your child to describe the colours, textures, and smells of the ingredients as you cook. 👃👋

No pressure to taste or eat, just explore!
Try asking questions like:
- “What does this feel like?”
- “How does this smell?”

Letting children play and explore food, without being asked to eat it, helps them feel more comfortable and curious about different foods over time. 🍎🥦🥕
