Love Was in the Air at Wanneroo Community Nursing Home

Our residents celebrated Valentine’s Day with a beautiful morning of creativity and connection, making their own handmade Valentine’s crafts.

The room was full of laughter, conversation and plenty of love.

Moments like these remind us that creativity has no age limit and that Valentine’s Day is about celebrating friendship, joy and community.

We’re so proud of the gorgeous creations our residents made and the smiles they shared along the way.

Our residents enjoyed a fun Guess the Music session, challenging each other to name the song title or artist. Activities like this spark memories, encourage conversation, and create a wonderful sense of connection — with a few laughs along the way.

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing nail-painting session filled with conversation, laughter, and a splash of colour. Activities like these support wellbeing, connection, and confidence, while also being a lovely way to unwind together.

Cooking up connection at Jacaranda Lodge

The kitchen was buzzing as residents took part in a hands-on cooking class. Chopping, stirring, tasting and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Cooking together isn’t just about food, it’s about creativity, independence and social connection.

And yes… the final result was delicious 😋

Music and memories

Jacaranda Lodge was filled with song as residents enjoyed a live concert performance. Music has a special way of unlocking memories, lifting spirits and bringing people together and we saw plenty of smiles along the way.

Residents at Jacaranda Lodge gathered for a beautiful poetry reading session. From classic verses to personal favourites, the room filled with stories, laughter, and heartfelt reflection.

Poetry has a wonderful way of opening conversations, stirring memories, and connecting people and this session was a perfect example of that magic.

Layered with love at Wanneroo Community Nursing Home 🎄🍓

Residents rolled up their sleeves in December to create delicious Christmas trifles by carefully layering sponge, custard, fruit, and cream into festive treats that looked just as good as they tasted.

Jacaranda Lodge Pavlova Tree Cooking

Our residents at Jacaranda Lodge were been busy in the kitchen over Christmas creating a very festive favourite, a beautiful pavlova Christmas tree! 🎄

From whipping cream to decorating with fresh fruit, this activity was full of laughter, teamwork and delicious rewards. A wonderful way to celebrate the season together.
