As we welcome in another new year, my heart is with the families I’ve walked alongside in moments of loss and remembrance.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories, your memories, and your loved ones. Every family I meet teaches me something about resilience, about the ways love endures, and about the quiet strength that emerges when people come together to honour someone they cherish.

To those who support me in this meaningful work, both personally and professionally, thank you for giving me the strength and grounding to show up with care.

As a celebrant I have been fortunate enough to work with families from all different backgrounds during the past decade. Hearing about this tragedy has both stunned and saddened me on so many levels. My heart and prayers go to all of the people who have lost loved ones in this senseless attack on innocent people.

Let it bring an end to violence and a chance to encourage peace among all Australians, whatever our heritage.

Last Wednesday I had the greatest pleasure of helping Joh and the beautiful team at Seasons in Cockburn hold space in a Christmas Memorial for those who’ve loved and lost through 2025. It was an intimate, special occasion that I was truly honoured to be able to assist with.

As we head into the final days of this year, I’d like to wish everyone a peaceful festive season, and to those I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside, know I carry a piece of you with me wherever I am xx

As we welcome the beginning of another Christmas morning , my thoughts are with everyone who has an empty chair at their table today, maybe for the first time, maybe not.

This year has brought me the opportunity to help many, many people farewell their loved ones which has been a great honour, and I’m thinking of you all as I know this can be a particularly difficult season.

I would also like to wish all of my colleagues a peaceful and joyful holiday season and thank you for your friendship and support during this last 12 months.

Finally, to my grandparents, and my beloved Whoppa, now no longer with us, I will be thinking of you this year as I do every year, and will light a candle in your memory, of the times we spent together 💕 xx
