📣We’re Hiring – Part-Time Admin & Referrals Intake Officer
📍Location: Geraldton, Western Australia
My Way Community Alliance is a friendly, welcoming and socially responsible community organisation. We provide NDIS, Disability, youth and elderly support services. Our vision and mission are to support meaningful, valued and contributing roles for all Australians.
The Referral and Intake Coordinator is required to take referrals by phone and in person and ensure the referral process is followed through and completed in a timely, sensitive, supportive and professional manner. The Referral and Intake Coordinator role engages, screens, assesses, refers, provides brief information gathering and coordinates care for the associated Business Unit of parent company My Way Community Alliance Ltd. (My Way Disability and Aged Care)
This position is part-time for 3 days/week in our Geraldton Office and in the Geraldton Community. The incumbent is required to have a reliable personal vehicle to undertake the duties of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Take referrals and manage the intake process in its entirety, including the administrative aspects and weekly data reporting
• Take referrals for new participants over the phone, emails and in person
• Ensure all referrals are managed professionally and new participants are allocated to an appropriate person/program
• Refer all participants onward as required, and maintain the database of agencies for onward referral
• Develop relationships with other providers and health-based services to create new pathways for referrals to the organisation
• Maintain intake data collection systems (e.g., forms, database) and ensure My Way’s client information management system (MYP) is updated with new participants and participants referred on as required
• Collaborate with management to continuously review the intake process and suggest improvements as necessary
• Handover referral files and notes to the line manager to allocate assign participant a relevant worker as requested.
• Attend community events, expos, and forums that can generate potential connections and leads.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant referral pathways to health, education, employment, recreational, cultural, housing, mental health, legal, drug and alcohol and other support services
• Strong coordination, leadership and peer support skills.
• Solid computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and software fast
• Ability to think creatively and use initiative, to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and computer skills for the creation of plans, programs, reports, correspondence and other documents.
• Established problem solving and conflict management skills.
• High level communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills

🌿 Our Second Aged Care Information Session Was a Success! 🌿
Last week, our My Way Support at Home team had the privilege of hosting a community information session to help older adults and their families understand the recent changes to Aged Care that came into effect on 1st November 2025.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — your participation, questions, and engagement made the session incredibly valuable.
Our wonderful hosts Vesna, Angela, and Mark guided attendees through important updates, available services, and how My Way can support individuals to live safely and independently at home.
We’re excited to continue empowering our community with clear information, practical support, and genuine care. 💙
