Dear PTHQ Members,

As you already know, we are looking to take care of your fitness journey beyond the closure of PTHQ at the end of June.

Christian, one of our personal training team will be opening up a new 24-hour training facility at the beginning of July to cater to his existing clients and all other PTHQ members.

It is close by, located only a few kilometers away in Osborne Park (corner of Frobisher Street and Sangiorgio Court).

It is a fully equipped gym with approximately 200 m2 of open-plan floor space. Its exclusive setup will support low traffic of members, in order to maintain that personal training studio feels, just like at PTHQ.

We know you will be in expert hands with Christian, as he has extensive knowledge and experience in the fitness industry.

The gym is in the final stage of completion and will be ready to open its doors at the beginning of July, to make for a smooth transition for all who are keen to continue training without any delays.

The gym will be offering an early bird rate of $ 11.95 per week on membership prices for the first month of July.

This will be exclusive to all PTHQ members.

As we here at PTHQ endeavor to look after your health and fitness into the future, we are delighted to offer you this opportunity to carry this on with Christian.

EFFORTLESS VEGAN OVERNIGHT OATS
(3 serves)



1 cup gluten-free rolled oats

1 ½ cups almond milk

¼ cup chia seeds

1 large banana, mashed

½ tsp ground cinnamon



For serving

Fresh mixed berries or other fruit

Ultimate Nutty Granola Clusters

H**p seeds

Pure maple syrup or another sweetener



1. In a small bowl, whisk together the oats, almond milk, chia seeds, banana and cinnamon. Cover and refrigerate overnight to thicken

2. In the morning, stir the oat mixture to combine. Serve the oats in a jar or parfait dish, alternating with layers of fresh fruit (such as mixed berries), granola, h**p seeds and a drizzle of sweetener if desired

The Optimal Vitamin B12 Dosage for Adults
Compared to non-vegetarians, those removing meat from their diets tend to have healthier body weights, cholesterol, blood sugars, and blood pressures, with a lower mortality rate due to heart disease, the #1 killer of men and women.

However, underestimating the importance of correct supplementation of vitamin B12 can nullify these benefits. Currently, the official position of associations and governmental agencies is categorical and unequivocal: in the case of a vegetarian diet, even if you eat eggs and dairy—and, in fact, I would extend that to flexitarians eating a few servings of meat a week—supplementation of vitamin B12 is required.

Now, it’s not just those eating plant-based that should be concerned about getting enough B12. About one in three nonvegetarians aren’t getting enough for optimal health, and that may exceed half in women, especially when they’re pregnant. But this number could run as high as nearly 9 out of 10 among those eating strictly plant-based, and 10 out of 10 doing it long-term.

Some recommend a single dose of 50 to 100 micrograms a day or a thousand micrograms twice a week. Others suggest 50 to 150 micrograms a day. Some even recommend 500 micrograms a day. Normally loose about one microgram of vitamin B12 a day; so, that’s how much we have to replace, on average, every day.

Why is the Recommended Daily Allowance 2.4 micrograms a day? Well, we only absorb about half of the tiny doses of the B12 we get in our diet; so, by eating 2.4, we can make sure we absorb the one microgram into our body to replace the one microgram we’re losing every day.
