The under the sea theme set the tone for a fantastic event. The highlight of the night was awarding staff members and volunteers, whose commitment and professionalism continue to strengthen the care and services we provide. Their contributions reflect the behaviours that guide Bethanie every day, and it was a privilege to acknowledge their work alongside so many of our team. It was a night that truly made waves, and left us all feeling inspired.💫

Over the weekend residents at Bethanie Beachside Aged Care Home, were delighted to welcome The Academy Irish Dancing School for their St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

✨ Bethanie Kingsley’s Wisdom Book ✨

During Spiritual Care Week last year, our team set out to capture something truly special, the lived wisdom of our Bethanie Kingsley residents. What began as a simple act of listening has grown into a beautiful keepsake.

One of our Chaplains, Rachael, invited every resident to take part, including those living with different levels of cognition, ensuring no one was left out. She lovingly designed and printed the books, with copies now on display in the communal lounge.

Our team have been sharing the books with residents and families, and for those who can’t read independently, the wisdom is read aloud, sparking heartfelt conversations.

A few favourite gems from the book:
“My motto for life is: Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
“You can only do what you can only do.”
“The person who has never made a mistake, has never made anything.”
