Pharmaceutical preparations often merely mask symptoms and the side-effects often outweigh the benefits. We are seeing a greater trend towards natural therapies as more information becomes available about the potentially toxic nature of pharmaceuticals. It is worth noting that a great many of the herbs that have been used for centuries to cure different ailments have now had extensive trials and studies done to confirm their efficacy, making herbal medicine as scientifically valid as pharmaceutical medicine. At Bayshore Naturopathic Clinic we use only the purest and highest quality supplements, herbs and nutritional products. We also work towards creating the correct diet and lifestyle for our clients, which is a variable thing, as we are all individual and unique. As Hippocrates said “let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food”.
