Lactate Threshold testing holds athlete and coaches alike to accountable to accurate pace zones.

Over reaching in training is extremely common, particularly in motivated athletes with short term focus and goals. This inability to control intensity to elicit the desired training stimulus dilutes rather than enhances training response.

Clear, measurable and evidence based pace zones can also be longitudinally tracked to monitor improvements from one block of training to the next.

Need help with your pace zones? Book at Wembley under performance testing: https://front-runner-sports.cliniko.com/bookings

Front Runner Trained Profile: Mustika Ali

Mustika is a global executive client who juggles a busy family life, running of a large multinational company & marathons in her spare time 👊

➡️When did you get started on your running journey?
I began my running journey in 2019, and it has evolved into a core part of my daily lifestyle.
➡️Summarise what running means to you in one sentence:
My daily run is an essential ‘me time’ ritual where I find relaxation and the focus to gain clarity on my challenges, strengthening both my body and mind.
➡️Describe your current weekly training programme?
I currently train six times a week, following a structured program that includes a mix of easy run, speed work, steady run, strength training and a dedicated long run to maintain my marathon endurance.
➡️What are your current PB’s?
*Marathon: 3:38
*Half Marathon: 1:45
*10km: 47
➡️What is your proudest running achievement to date?
Boston Qualified in Tokyo Marathon
➡️How long have you been with Front Runner & who is your Front Runner coach?
Since 2021, Coach Raf is my coach
➡️What have you valued most about being a athlete?
I value the professional support system, which offers far more than structured training and expert insight. For me, as a working mom, the coaching extends into essential emotional support and accountability for life balance, ensuring I can progress as an athlete while fostering personal growth in every area of my life.
➡️Favourite training buddies?
William Lesmana (when I need a push),and Magda when I need emotional release
➡️What are your short (next 12 months) and long-term goals in running?
*Short term: To improve my marathon consistency and focus on recovery and strength while managing a busy work and travel schedule. and of course PB on my next marathon
*Long term: To continue running marathons globally and maintain a high level of health and fitness for years to come.
➡️If you could give one piece of advice about running what would it be?
Consistency is key. Don’t just run when you feel motivated, run because it is part of who you are. Listen to your body, but don’t be afraid to push the boundaries of what you think you can achieve.
