Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is pleased to announce the additions of Dr. Samantha (Sam) Albacete and Dr. Eileen Bui to the General Surgery Department.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Albacete and Dr. Bui to CKHA,” said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, Chief of Staff. “Dr. Albacete’s strong academic and surgical training makes her an excellent addition to our surgical team, and Dr. Bui has already made a positive impression at CKHA through her locum work."

We are pleased to announce the launch of CKHA @ Home, a new program designed to help patients transition from the hospital back to the comfort of their own homes sooner and more safely.

"We recognize that returning home after a hospital stay can be challenging. The CKHA @ Home Program is designed to reduce that stress by providing comprehensive, personalized support. This program ensures that patients receive the right care, at the right time, at home." - Adam Topp, President and CEO.

By supporting patients at home, we are also working hard to manage the high demand for medical beds at our hospital, ensuring quality care for all of Chatham-Kent.

We kindly remind the community that our Emergency Departments are here for urgent and emergency care needs.

Critically ill patients will remain the priority. Patients attending the Emergency Department at CKHA for non-emergency ailments could experience longer wait times than usual.

Please seek care for non-emergency needs in community settings where possible, such as your family physician or local walk-in medical clinic to help alleviate the strain on our Emergency Departments.
