Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions (ICS) was proud to be part of the 2025 Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) Global Summit in Toronto!

Our team members - Yeasmin Akhter, Alred Allan Lavada, and Nissinirupa Gurrala, joined healthcare leaders and innovators from around the world to share insights on optimizing patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and staff engagement.

It was an inspiring journey of learning and connection, capped with a great moment meeting Ontario’s Minister of Long-Term Care, Natalia Kusendova-Bashta. We're excited to apply these new insights to deliver even better care at Bayshore.

Today, on September 30th, we honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We wear orange to remember the children who never returned home, to recognize survivors' strength, and to acknowledge the intergenerational impacts of residential schools.

The orange shirt represents Phyllis Webstad's story - her new orange shirt taken on her first day at residential school, a powerful symbol of how Indigenous identity was stripped from children.

At Bayshore, we are committed to supporting truth and reconciliation by helping Indigenous Peoples access quality care within their communities.

Bayshore Northern Staffing raises over $600 in a single day for Water First!

On September 14th, our teams from across Canada gathered in Cornwall for the Bayshore Northern Staffing Conference. It was an incredible opportunity for our admin staff—from HR, recruitment, client service coordinators, staff concierge, managers of clinical practice and beyond—to come together, connect, and collaborate in person.

The first night set the tone with lighthearted awards in the beautiful outdoors, creative categories that had everyone laughing and celebrating one another. On the main conference day, each team hosted engaging activities designed to spark team bonding and encourage connections between colleagues who may not often work together.

Not only was this conference about building stronger relationships, but it was also about giving back. Together, we raised over $600 in support of Water First, a Canadian charity dedicated to addressing water challenges in Indigenous communities through education, training, and meaningful partnerships.

We’re proud of what we accomplished together in just one day—and even more inspired knowing these funds will help support access to clean water where it’s needed most.

We’re delighted to welcome Omar Aboelela, PT, MHM as our new National Director of Business Development at Bayshore Home Care Solutions! 🎉

Omar is a healthcare executive and physiotherapist with over a decade of leadership experience in home and community care. He has led impactful initiatives in:

✅ Transitional Care: improving hospital-to-home pathways
✅ Integrated Partnerships: strengthening collaboration with hospitals & primary care
✅ Innovative Service Models: enhancing quality and sustainability
✅ Health System Transformation: advancing priorities to support better care at home

Beyond his professional achievements, Omar serves on the Board of Directors at Guelph General Hospital and teaches in McMaster University’s Master of Health Management program.

In his new role, Omar will be leading national growth initiatives, fostering partnerships, and advancing our work with health system partners across Canada.

✨ Feel Good Friday: We're honored to have joined the Alzheimer Society Peel for a powerful and beautiful event earlier this week. Local businesses, community leaders, and families gathered around the Brunel Adult Day Program site to show support.

As a proud partner, The Bayshore Foundation and Bayshore employees raised and donated just over $48,000 to help support programming at the Brunel Centre. We were honored to be part of this exciting moment for the Alzheimer Society – Peel Region and to help create a lasting positive impact in the community. 🤝

On August 24th, 2025, Simeon arrived at the easternmost point of North America in St. John’s, NL, after an inspiring 85-day, 6,853.14km cycling journey all the way from Victoria, BC. Living with type 1 diabetes, Simeon embarked on this incredible challenge to raise awareness and funds for I Challenge Diabetes. As a sponsor and partner, we are so proud to share that his Cycle For Type 1 campaign exceeded its goal, raising a remarkable $111,433.37 to support vital programs for individuals living with T1D.

Simeon's dedication, resilience, and powerful message, "I wanted to show what can be possible despite our challenges; and that with unwavering self-belief and determination, we can achieve the extraordinary in the face of adversity", has inspired us all.

Feel Good Friday: The pickleball courts were buzzing with energy for the first-ever divisional showdown between the ICS and BSRx teams! This inaugural event was a fantastic display of competitive spirit, showcasing impressive serves, strategic volleys, and plenty of laughs.

Beyond the friendly rivalry, the match was a huge win for inter-divisional team building. It was great to see everyone connect outside of their usual work environments, strengthening the bonds that make our company so special.

After a hard fought and thrilling match, BSRx came out on top, securing the first-ever bragging rights...until next time! 🎉

As wildfires continue to impact communities across Eastern Canada, Bayshore has activated our Emergency Preparedness Protocols to ensure the safety of our employees and patients while maintaining continuity of care. We are closely monitoring the situation and remain in constant communication with local authorities to assure employee and patient safety.

The Bayshore Foundation is collecting donations to support those affected through the Canadian Red Cross. We're matching all donations by 50%!
