YWHO Chatham-Kent serves as a one-stop destination where youth aged 12 to 25 can find comprehensive mental health and addiction services, including counseling, peer support, crisis intervention, and access to specialized care when needed. By centralizing these services, YWHO CK aims to enhance coordination, collaboration, and continuity of care for youth, ensuring they receive the support they need at the right time and in the right place. All postings on our page are for general education, discussion or entertainment and not intended as counselling, clinical advice or treatment. YWHO CK is providing a broad spectrum of information in support of our mission to raise awareness on mental health and mental illness. We welcome the sharing of comments, suggestions and opinions, but reserve the right to remove any content we deem to be inappropriate. Here are some simple rules to help you and other visitors enjoy our page.

• Questions, Compliments or Concerns. To discuss the personal care of you or a family member, please contact us directly. We can’t discuss it on social media. Please contact us at (519) 437-6329. You can also provide feedback virtually by e-mailing ck@youthhubs.ca.

• Be Kind and Respectful. Post comments that are respectful of others. Respectful discourse nurtures a safe and learning environment in which people feel comfortable expressing their opinions. Avoid profanity or any obscene, indecent, discriminatory, slanderous or otherwise objectionable content or language

• Be Yourself. Don’t impersonate others or disguise the source of the information you submit.

• Safeguard Privacy. Be respectful of the privacy of patients, families and staff by not using names or identifying details when posting comments. You are responsible if you post any private details about yourself or your family.

• Stay on Topic. We're not looking to censor you, but sometimes comments are spam, off-topic, make unsupported accusations or promote services or products not aligned with CMHA Lambton Kent.

• Don’t Spam Us. We will not allow the same content to be posted multiple times. Any subsequent posting of identical information will be deleted.

• Seek Professional Help When in an Emergency. This page is not intended to provide crisis or emergency support and is not monitored outside of regular business hours. If you need help, please call 911 or go the nearest Emergency Department.

• Reach out to the Mental Health First Response Team. Open 24 hours per day including weekends and holidays, the Mental Health First Response is available to anyone in Lambton County and Kent County who is experiencing mental health problems or crises. Service includes telephone crisis intervention (mental health status assessment, su***de intervention), referrals, and family support (information regarding options for assisting a loved one in mental health crisis). Mental Health First Response Phone Numbers: Chatham Kent 1-866-299-7447 or Sarnia Lambton 1-800-307-4319.

A collaboration between the CMHA Lambton Kent and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation, the Sarnia Lambton / Chatham Kent Indigenous Community of Practice (CoP) for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery brings together addiction, mental health, social service, crisis response and cultural support workers with a vested interest in and passion for Indigenous culture, reconciliation, and coming together to learn, share and build capacity to address mental health and addiction challenges among Indigenous people, blending Western knowledge and methods with cultural knowledge and traditional healing practices to maximize healing and recovery.
