Chatham-Kent Hospice

Chatham-Kent Hospice Our mission is to provide care that changes how families live the important experiences near the end of life. Welcome

Welcome to Chatham-Kent Hospice!

At Chatham-Kent Hospice we are here to help families make the most of the time they have together. We are honoured to serve our residents and their families at the most difficult time in their life. We believe that hospice is not about dying – it is about living. Our focus is to help our residents live each day with dignity and honour by providing compassionate, end-of-life care in a home-like setting. Our residential hospice offers 10 private suites designed to perform like a hospital but feel like home. Additional spaces in the hospice include bereavement support area, resource library and meeting rooms. The overall design allows us the flexibility to grow and play a role in developing a centre of learning for healthcare providers and the families of Chatham-Kent. The Chatham-Kent Hospice will:
• support residents as they deal with end-of-life challenges
• offer a loving and supportive atmosphere so family and friends can say good-bye
• deliver specialized care from compassionate staff and volunteers
• provide comprehensive, coordinated hospice care for everyone at no cost
• make available grief counseling and other forms of therapy

We are deeply grateful to the James A. Beattie Foundation for their generous $110,000 donation to Chatham-Kent Hospice, made in memory of longtime Foundation President Jack “The Barber” Morrison.

This gift reflects Jack’s lifelong commitment to caring for others and continues the Beattie family’s legacy of compassion in our community. Over the years, the Foundation has contributed $240,000 to support local hospice care.

Thank you to the Beattie Foundation and the Morrison family for helping us provide comfort, dignity, and support to families during life’s most difficult moments. 💙

Some moments stay with us forever.

In Sandra’s final chapter, Hospice became a place where she could keep living, surrounded by love, meaningful conversations, and the comfort of feeling at home.

For her family, it meant time that felt lighter, gentler, and full of connection. Time that truly mattered.

This holiday season, help families like Sandra’s make the most of the moments they have left.
