We hear it all the time…
‘I’m wearing so much makeup just to cover this redness.’
‘I’m so self-conscious of how flushed my cheeks are’
‘My skin always looks irritated…’

Redness isn’t just a cosmetic concern. It’s a visible sign of what’s happening beneath the surface - overactive blood vessels, chronic inflammation, barrier disruption, or sun damage that’s built up over time.

And because redness can come from different sources, it shouldn’t be treated with a one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we use different technologies to address redness in different ways.

Calm, even-toned skin isn’t about covering more. It’s about understanding why your skin is red and treating it thoughtfully.

Melasma is not “just pigment.” It’s a complex, hormonally-influenced condition that lives deeper in the skin and behaves very differently than sun spots or freckles.

That’s why melasma should never be treated with a one-size-fits-all laser plan.

MOXI is a gentle, non-ablative laser that works by creating controlled micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates cellular turnover, improves tone and texture, and helps disperse pigment gradually without the excessive heat that can worsen melasma when used incorrectly. When used thoughtfully, MOXI can be a powerful part of a long-term melasma strategy.

But here’s the key:
Melasma must be properly diagnosed before any laser touches the skin. Not all brown pigment is the same. Some conditions look like melasma but behave very differently. Treating it incorrectly can trigger rebound darkening and inflammation that’s difficult to reverse.

A dermatologist understands:
• Whether pigment is epidermal, dermal, or mixed
• How hormonally driven your condition is
• Your skin type’s risk for post-inflammatory pigment
• When laser is appropriate and when it isn’t
• How to pair in-clinic treatments with prescription-grade skincare and sun protection

At Interior Dermatology, melasma care is never about a single device. It’s about diagnosis and a long-term plan that protects your skin while improving it.

In cosmetic dermatology, the effectiveness of a treatment isn’t held entirely in the device itself.
It’s shaped by the approach behind it.

At Interior Dermatology, every treatment begins with:
• A thoughtful diagnosis: truly understanding what’s happening with your skin on a cellular level
• Carefully selected settings: energy level, depth and technique should all be tailored to your skin and goals
• Experienced hands delivering the treatment with intention and precision

If you’ve ever tried a treatment and thought, “that didn’t work for me,” it doesn’t necessarily mean the treatment wasn’t right - sometimes it’s the approach.

In cosmetic dermatology, meaningful results come from proper diagnosis, precision, and experience - not just the machine.

Trust matters, especially when it comes to your skin.

A dermatologist is a medical doctor with the highest level of skin-specific training, dedicated to diagnosing, treating and caring for skin at every stage of life.

At IDC, we believe great outcomes begin with expert guidance.

It doesn’t matter how you say it…

“my skin looks uneven,”
“my freckles are getting darker,”
“my sun damage is catching up to me,”
“my skin just looks tired.”

We know what you mean. And more importantly, we know how to help.

So many of our patients want the same thing: even, glowing skin.

Living in the beautiful Okanagan means living with sun exposure. Over time, that shows up as pigment, sun spots, freckles, redness, and uneven tone.

BBL HEROic works by delivering gentle, targeted light into the skin that helps:
• fade unwanted pigment and sun damage
• calm redness
• even out skin tone
• support healthier, clearer skin over time

Have you ever had your Botox performed by a board-certified Dermatologist?

When it comes to injectables, who performs your treatment matters just as much as what is being injected.

Dermatologists are extensively trained in facial anatomy, the skin, muscles, nerves, and underlying structures - allowing for precise placement that protects natural movement and minimizes risk.

They’re also uniquely qualified to assess your skin as a whole. Dermatologists will factor in texture, tone, elasticity, and any underlying skin conditions and tailor your treatment for best results.

At Interior Dermatology, Dr. Burrows approaches Botox with one goal: natural, refined results - never overdone, never rushed, always safe.
Because when you’re dealing with your face, expertise isn’t optional, it’sessential.

What if you could treat sun damage, redness, texture, pores, and collagen loss… all in one visit?

Around the world, clinics routinely layer multiple technologies because each one works in a different skin layer. When combined correctly, you can achieve more complete results without extending your downtime.

This approach requires thoughtful sequencing and medical expertise, which is why it’s not widely done.

At IDC, this is something we specialize in - designing customized, dermatologist-led treatment plans that make every appointment count.

One visit.
One recovery window.
Maximum results.

If you’re curious about what your ideal treatment plan would be, our team is here to safely guide you.
