Almost every women I coach doesn’t know they’re daily habits are adding to the stress load in their own body
AND I didn’t know either before I became a RHN...
Because we are not taught how our bodies actually operate...🙄
THE TOP 3 THINGS KEEPING YOU FROM YOUR GOALS:
1️⃣ EATING WHILE DISTRACTED
Did you know that if you are distracted (watching TV, scrolling, standing, driving, etc.) and not in a seated position, your body doesn’t actually know that you’re eating...
That means your digestive system won’t actually enter your digest state & digest your food properly = stress on the digestive system ( imagine someone threw a water balloon at you without warning you - now your soaking wet because you weren’t prepared to catch a water balloon )
✅SHIFT: Practice mindful eating with no distractions.
2️⃣ SHALLOW BREATHING
Most people don’t actually know how to breathe properly... consistently.
Shallow breathing (short, up in the chest & paused) signals the sympathetic nervous system (ALERT/STRESS MODE). A lot of people are shallowing breathing all day long, keeping you in an alert state because you aren’t giving the body enough oxygen.
✅SHIFT: Strengthen self-awareness & adjust your breathing throughout your day. Breath is one of the most powerful forces in the human body, use it mindfully.
3️⃣ NEGATIVE SELF-TALK
When we speak words aloud, our subconscious doesn’t know if something is real or not. The more your brain hears what you are saying about yourself, it sparks & reinforce that belief in your subconscious.
Eventually this looping negative self-talk about YOURSELF becomes an internal threat = stress signal
✅SHIFT: When you notice yourself using negative self-talk, stop yourself. When you feel those thoughts surfacing, just don’t say them out-loud.
