Seeing patients today on a Sunday for emergency visits really reminded me of something important…

A lot of people are still cracking their own neck and back trying to get relief.

It might feel good for a few minutes… but it’s not fixing the problem.

In fact, most of the time you're just moving the joints that are already too loose—while the real areas that need attention stay restricted. That’s why the tension and pain keep coming back.

What actually works is proper assessment and targeted adjustments.

Even chiropractors like myself go to other chiropractors—because you can’t properly adjust yourself.

That’s exactly why I wrote my new book (coming out next week on Amazon) and why I’m hosting a live webinar:

👉 “Is Cracking Your Back Bad For You?”

In this session, I’ll walk you through:
• Why cracking your own joints doesn’t solve the issue
• What’s really happening in your spine
• The right way to get lasting relief
• When you should see a chiropractor

If you’ve been dealing with tightness, stiffness, or recurring pain—this will help you understand what to do next.

Eating healthy on the road doesn’t have to be complicated 👇

Just got back to the hotel and I’m ordering in using Uber Eats — but here’s the key:

It’s not about being perfect… it’s about making better choices consistently.

💡 Here’s how I approach it when traveling:

🔍 Step 1: Look at ratings
Choose higher-rated restaurants — quality usually follows.

🥩 Step 2: Prioritize protein
This keeps you full, supports recovery, and stabilizes energy.

🥗 Step 3: Choose whole foods
Think simple: meat, veggies, rice, potatoes — foods close to their natural state.

🚫 Step 4: Avoid processed + sugary options
These will spike your energy… and then crash it.

Now, is it always perfect on the road? No.
Sometimes I’ll hit places like Whole Foods Market for even better options — but when that’s not possible, this strategy works.

🎯 The goal isn’t perfection — it’s consistency.

Make the best decision available to you in that moment, and over time, it adds up.

If you’re trying to improve your health, lose weight, or just feel better day-to-day — start with small decisions like this.

Not losing weight… even in a calorie deficit?

If you’ve dropped your calories too low (1000–1500/day), your body doesn’t just “burn more fat” — it adapts.

⚠️ Energy drops
⚠️ You feel sluggish
⚠️ Metabolism slows
⚠️ Fat loss stalls

Your body is trying to protect you, not help you.

The fix isn’t starving yourself — it’s smarter strategy:

✔️ Increase energy expenditure (walk more, move more)
✔️ Lift weights to build muscle
✔️ Boost your metabolism so you’re burning even after the workout

Sustainable fat loss = fuel your body + move your body

Not just “eat less.”

Real moment in the clinic today 👇

I was in the middle of recording a video… and a new patient walked in.

She was dealing with Plantar Fasciitis — pain on the bottom of the foot that can make walking, standing, and even getting out of bed tough.

What stood out?

👉 She came in because her daughter had been here before
👉 We used shockwave therapy
👉 It helped her daughter significantly

That’s the power of results + referrals.

So I paused the video, helped her out, and got her booked in for tomorrow.

💡 This is how we run things in the clinic:

We often offer same-day or next-day appointments

We hold spots open for new patients daily

We stay flexible with scheduling

Because when you’re in pain… you shouldn’t have to wait weeks to get help.

If you’re dealing with foot pain, heel pain, or anything similar — don’t wait.

Afternoon shift routine 🔥💧☕

Before I start seeing patients, I always set myself up the same way…

First → hydration
I grab a cup of purified water and add my electrolytes. This gets my body and brain switched on so I can stay sharp, focused, and energized through the entire shift.

Second → coffee
Black coffee goes on the warmer and I sip it throughout the day. When you’re talking to patients nonstop, that warmth helps protect your voice and keeps communication clear.

💡 Here’s the reality:
Most people are walking around dehydrated… and it shows up as:

Fatigue

Brain fog

Muscle tightness

Slower recovery

Hydration isn’t just about water — you need electrolytes to actually absorb and use that water properly.

This is a simple routine, but it makes a HUGE difference in how I show up for my patients every day.

If you’re feeling low energy, stiff, or just not performing at your best… start here.

Ever wonder if cracking your back, neck, or knuckles is actually bad for you? 🤔

We’re putting the finishing touches on our new ebook “Is Cracking Your Back Bad for You?” and it was designed to go along with our upcoming webinar next week.

A lot of us grew up hearing that cracking your knuckles could cause arthritis or lead to joint problems later on. But is that really true? At this webinar, we’re going to break down the myths, the facts, and what you really need to know about the habit of cracking your own joints.

Whether you crack your neck, back, knuckles, or know someone who does, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

How I became a chiropractor? I had constant knee pain...

Our family doctor told me it was just “growing pains” and that I’d grow out of it. After a few visits with no answers, my dad decided to try something different and took me to a chiropractor from our church.

He actually assessed my knees, took X-rays, explained what was going on, and started treatment right away. With adjustments to my knees, hips, and spine—and therapy to help the soft tissues heal—everything started to change.

That experience didn’t just fix my knees… it shaped the path that led me into chiropractic.

Sometimes the right care changes everything.

Are you someone who cracks your neck, back, or even your knuckles to get relief?

You’re not alone—but here’s what most people don’t realize…

That “pop” you feel isn’t always fixing the problem. In many cases, it’s actually the loose, unstable joints doing the cracking—while the areas that truly need attention stay restricted.

That’s why the relief is often temporary… sometimes just 10–20 minutes.

In my upcoming webinar, “Is Cracking Your Back Bad for You?”, I’ll walk you through:

• What’s really happening when you hear that “crack”
• Why self-cracking can make things worse over time
• The difference between random cracking vs. precise chiropractic adjustments
• How proper diagnosis leads to real, lasting improvement

Even chiropractors see other chiropractors—because proper care requires precision and objectivity.

If you’re tired of temporary fixes and want to understand what your body actually needs, this is for you.

A new patient walked in while I was recording a video today. She wanted to book an appointment for plantar fasciitis, which is pain on the bottom of the foot. She told me her daughter had come to our office before, had shockwave therapy, and got great results, so now she wanted help too.

That is one of the things I’m proud of at Tutt Street Family Chiropractic. We do our best to make care accessible, practical, and timely. Often, we can see new patients the same day or the very next day. We also try to hold space each day for a new patient, which makes booking easier when someone is in pain and wants help quickly.

If you’re dealing with plantar fasciitis, foot pain, or other muscle and joint problems, reach out to us. Call 250-486-0062 or click the link in bio / Linktree to book.

Picked this up in Vancouver — a fragrance set from Abercrombie & Fitch.

What I like about it is the variety. Different scents that you can layer and mix depending on the vibe. Simple way to switch things up without overthinking it.

Bonus: no issues bringing it on the plane.

One of those small pickups from a trip that actually adds value.
