Seeing and hearing about our Catalyst Strength Crew members feeling stronger, experiencing less aches & pains, and being more confident in their body’s abilities is the best Christmas gift we could ever get 🎁

Here’s a 63 year old badass who’s been training in our strength series for 2 years. She can squat 155 lbs for 4 reps, broad jump over 4.5 feet, and drop down to rip out 10+ push-ups without thinking twice.

And most importantly - she can pick up, piggyback, wrestle, and play with her grandkids… all 13 of them (& counting)!!! 🤩

Prenatal Yoga Pop-up, Join Us! Taught by Kristian Harkin

I recently relocated to Kelowna from Alberta with my little family and am a mom of two (3 years + 5 months). I’m a yoga teacher offering both regular yoga classes and therapeutic yoga series. Since becoming a mom and experiencing pregnancy + postpartum myself, I feel as though pre/post natal yoga is incredibly valuable. 

I’d describe my teaching style as grounding, supportive, invitational and accessible. I encourage a deep focus on breath, body awareness, and creating space to be curious, playful, and present. 

I look forward to class on the 22nd and plan to guide you through a supportive prenatal yoga class that will allow you to find space in both the physical body and the mind. We’ll start by settling into the breath, move through gentle (maybe modified) strength and mobility-focused postures, then ease into restorative shapes for rest and relaxation. My hope is that you leave feeling calm, nourished, and ready for the holiday week!

I don’t think I have one. But wings should only be dipped in ranch. Blue cheese people can’t be trusted.

What exercise do you have a love hate relationship with?
Squats. love them much more than hate but god damn they are hard.

If you had $10,000 dollars to spend at one place, where would you spend it?
Probably an airline or travel agency. Perhaps a themed trip for golf and whiskey 🤙🏻

What’s has been a recent highlight for you?
Being selected as Mission Staff for Team BC for the Special Olympics National Games

Once again, I can’t choose just one…
• I loved my recent holiday to Kauai
• Having (our practicum student) has been fun, helpful, and has brought good energy into Catalyst
• Adding the Postpartum Rebuild open-gym to our schedule. Supporting ladies through that transition and seeing them connect has filled my cup right up!
