We’re so excited to introduce Maya, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Social Worker at Alive Counselling.

Maya brings warmth, compassion, and a grounded approach to support teens (15+), young adults, adults, and couples through life’s challenges.

With training in Trauma Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy (Level 1), Maya helps clients navigate:

Reflecting on Open Ice — an edition of the Open Space Series presented by Okanagan Lifestyle + Third Space Charity. 🏒 •

On September 23rd, the “locker room” became a metaphor for community at large. A space where walls came down, honesty rose up, and healing conversations began (or continued) for many.

Together, we raised $37,000 in one evening! To date, the full Open Space series has welcomed 500+ guests and raised over $82,000 directly supporting pay-what-you-can counselling for young adults in our community through .

But the truest impact can’t be measured in dollars. It lives in the courage spoken, compassion exchanged, and unity felt.

With deep gratitude to moderator Barb Egan + the NHL athletes who shared their voices and stories. Thank you for showing what it means to walk the walk with integrity, courage, and care.
