I use the universal Reiki energy to provide a calm environment that promotes healing, reduces stress and relaxes/balances the body.

True Touch Health is currently offering Reiki services to clients in the Okanagan. My goal is to ensure clients have a peaceful, relaxing experience. Quite often we are too busy to take time for ourselves, True Touch Health provides an opportunity for clients to step out of the hustle and bustle and have a small portion of the day dedicated to their energetic, mental, spiritual and physical well-being. All that is required is an open heart!

How I prepare for a Reiki session 🤗

I thought it was time to give you an inside look at how I prepare myself and the studio space for a Reiki session 🤓

Firstly, if I'm not already at the shop I get to the space early. I then turn on the selenite lamps, place a clean blanket on the table and express gratitude to the Reiki room.

Next I perform a gentle smudging/cleansing of the space, either with a sage/sage blend or Palo Santo. Clearing out any lingering energies.

I then set the intention for the session.
I set the intention for the space to serve my clients highest purpose and to help achieve their goals for the session. With repeat clients I do this plus I add an intention specifically relevant to them.

Once I have completed that, I walk to the crystal showroom, because I am so incredibly fortunate to have my studio INSIDE a crystal/stone shop, and select a few crystals/stones that call to me for this specific session/client (this can take a few minutes as there are so many amazing stones in the shop 😉😃).
Once I have selected the stones I cleanse and purpose them for the session.

Last but not least, I sit in quiet for a moment. Center myself, feel the space and call on my Reiki guides to support and assist me in the upcoming session.

How to care for your Crystals!

Part 2 - Programming 🤓

You might be wondering.... What is crystal programming, why do I need to do it??

Well, the specific properties of the crystal are activated and enhanced when it is programmed to your specific purpose.

Think of it like this, you've gotten a new smart device, YAY!, but it won't do anything until you've connected it to your network and told it what to do/turn on/how to act. You need to program it first!!

To program a crystal is very simple. Once you've cleansed it, follow the directions below:

1) Hold the crystal in your left palm, as that is your energetic receiving side.
2) Hold the intention for that crystal in your mind, whatever specific purpose that may be. It could be for letting go of trauma, removing obstacles, promoting self love, attracting abundance etc.
3) Say out loud "I dedicate this crystal for [the purpose you've decided] "
4) Cup the stone in your hands, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Imagine the stone being enveloped in beautiful love and light

That's it! You can also re-program a stone if/when that purpose is complete 🥰

How to care for your crystals!

Part 1 - Clearing/charging

Cleaning/charging your new crystals and stones is very important. Below I'll share a few techniques to accomplish this 🥰

This is because your crystal may have been handled by many other people before it found its' home with you and each person/place could have left lingering energies, good or bad, on your stones.

Each time a stone or crystal is touched, it picks up the energetic fingerprint of that person, it is beneficial to clear those "prints".

Technique 1) - Salt Water cleanse (Sea salt or Himalayan)
Leave the stone in water overnight, you can even add in some dried sage or lavender to enhance the effects!
**do not use on brittle or porous stones/crystals**

2) - Running water
Hold the stone/crystal in your hands under running water. As I do this I repeat the mantra "Cleanse, clear, release" out loud or in my head.
**do not use on brittle or porous stones/crystals**

3) - Sage/sacred smoke
You can use the cleansing/clearing properties of Sage by burning the sage and "bathing" your crystals in the smoke.

4) - Moon/Sun bathing
Exactly as it sounds. Place your crystals/stones in direct sunlight or the light of the full moon to cleanse and energize them

5) - Other stones
You can utilize the clearing/purification properties of other stones such as Carnelian to cleanse your stones. Simply place your stones on or around the Carnelian when you're not using them to keep them clear and charged.

You can use any or all of these methods, excluding those that will harm your stones.
I do suggest placing your stones in the full moon every month as well.

My favourtie crystals - Part 2

Up first is one of the first crystals I ever bought 😍

1) Amethyst - Gemstone of Protection and Abundance
Attributes: Helpful in purifying the mind, clearing negative thoughts, relieving stress and anxiety and promoting abundance and prosperity. It is associated with the Crown Chakra.

2) Citrine - Gemstone of joy, abundance and transmutation
Attributes: It acts as a source of positive energy for all aspects of your life. Citrine is suited to raise your vibration and promote positivity and optimism in your life. It can aid in promoting abundance, prosperity, happiness and self confidence. It is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra.

My favorite crystals. Part 1!

I incorporate crystals, not only in my Reiki sessions but also in my daily life. From raw/tumbled stones in my pocket to necklaces, rings or bracelets. I always feel better when I'm carrying a crystal or stone with me 💜

1) Black Tourmaline: Gemstone of Protection
- Attributes: Protection, transmutes negative energy to light/positive energy, emf blocking, supports all organs and immune system. It is associated with Root Chakra

2) Selenite: Gemstone of Purification
- Attributes: Helps connect to higher frequencies of the universe. Brings peace, protection, harmony and healing to ones body, mind and soul. Clears negative energies. It is associated with the Heart Chakra

Crystals and Reiki! 💎

I personally love to incorporate crystals and stones into each of my Reiki sessions. They go hand in hand with each other.

When crystals are used during a Reiki session they can amplify the benefits of the session exponentially.

Each crystal or stone has an innate energy of it's own. They can be used to enhance the overall session as well as a targeted benefit.

For example:

*่Citrine: Associates with the solar plexus chakra. Encourages proper metabolism, directing personal power, prosperity and abundance.

*่Amethyst: Associated with the Third Eye chakra. Promotes serenity and calm. Enhances spiritual visions and enlightenment.

*่Turquoise: Associated with the throat chakra. Enhances healing, protection and luck.

These are just a few examples of crystals that I use with my clients in our sessions.

There's a crystal or stone for nearly anything you can think of. Each with its own unique properties and benefits.
