Hello my Okanagan PEMF gang! Just sending out another update in regards to bookings.

The strangles outbreak in the Okanagan is still top of mind, and barns have been doing a great job of bio-security protocols and limiting any non essential equine travel.

In an effort to keep your barn and my barn safe, I am still refraining from booking any non-essential PEMF sessions at this time. While I have always cleaned my equipment between barns , I still feel the most effective way is to limit travel when we are able to.

For the upcoming year I’m excited to have just sponsored my first young rider (post to come soon), I am looking forward to sponsoring some of our local shows, and I just ordered some fun new swag for competitors goodies bags! 😎

In the meantime, I truly appreciate everyone for understanding and continuing to prevent the spread, and I truly can’t wait to get back at it soon and to help all our equine friends feel amazing 💕

Happy New Year, hope you all enjoyed the holidays!!

In light of the recent strangles outbreak in West Kelowna, I will be postponing PEMF treaments for a couple weeks. It sounds like the barns have been doing a great job of quarantining and following protocol and keeping the community informed, and so far the spread has been contained from what I'm hearing thus far. But I think another week or two of monitoring is the safest option for everyone, your barn and my barn included ☺️

𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬.

I learned a lot about rehab through myself this year - in Summer of 2024, I sprained my right ankle in the ankle joint and ligament, I spent a year healing and strengthening it through physiotherapy treatments and exercises.

In June 2025 - I severely injured my lower back by pushing my limits on bodywork clients.

In July 2021 - I had a horseback riding accident resulting me falling on the concrete on a bolting horse from a irresponsible motorcyclist reaving his engine while passing me.

My body was compensating in many ways, my neck and lower back always hurt, my right hip was stuck down and forward, SI pain would creep in and for the life of me, I could NEVER pick up a horse's right shoulder while riding.

I tried massage, kinesiology taping, stretching and strengthening, but it didn't give me lasting results, until I saw a Chiropractor/ Rehab specialist.

Adding Chiropractic to my own care team made a huge difference. I can engage my core better, use the muscles I need to use and I can now pick up the horse's right shoulder while riding. I am stronger and more capable than ever.

I think in many ways, this is how the horse feels when they are compensating from injuries, traumas, compensation, riders imbalances, poor saddle fit and so much more. I believe the body can heal itself, but it needs the tools to do so and it is often a multi-modality approach to get them in pain free way that they can optimally develop and use their joints and muscles properly.

Thank you to the bodyworkers that have helped in conjunction of the work I do to help the horses feel their best!

As show season is winding down, and our equine friends are starting to fluff up for Fall, it’s a perfect time to consider all they have done for us over the summer. Shows, clinics, rodeos, trails, baby sitting beginners and kids, perhaps they were on rest from injury? But now is a great time to help them heal, promote muscle recovery, and feel their best for Fall, and upcoming winter.
